Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.
Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).
But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!
G.O.P., R.I.P!
Nah, it's Romney's constant flip-flops that make me not trust him as far as I could throw him - it has nothing to do with his religion. We don't need a guy who will say anything to win a given election, and then do a 180 and say something else when trying to win a different election. Clinton was quite good at that.
Bigot?
Where have I heard that word before?
I can only say that I have observed that most of them are conservative posters on any subject but Mitt.
Why?
False.
hmmmm, seems the WAPO has it all wrong then, right?

rino - plain and simple
Well Jim, it took forever to catch up on the posts but a few things jump out to me.
One, for 85% of FReepers, we oppose Romney on the issues, period.
10% support him on the balance of the issues.
For 1% of FReepers, they oppose him on a religious issue.
For the remaining 4% of FReepers, they support Romney in some weird cult of personality type trance, taking every statement made against Romney’s policies as a personal attack against themselves.
What does this all mean?
Romney is a politician... I’m sick of all these career politicians, especially the ones whose followers often act like they are in a zombie cult.
Many of us, (including the poster of this article), decided to vote for the republican ticket because of the presence of Palin on the ticket.
Palin being on a Mitt ticket would not have been enough to make me vote for that ticket.
No matter how many times we say it, people don't get it. The keep harping back to the grump old fart and his problems.
For me the simple test is going to be (1) do you understand the role of government and (2) have you read the US constitution? Those simple tests applied to our current elected officials would leave us with 5-6 elected officials. I have been voting for the lesser evil ever since I could vote and I’m done. I’ll vote for a Democrat, Republican, whatever — so long as they abide by the role of government. If we can solve that problem all of the other problems will work themselves out. I said before the election that Obama would get us to socialism in 4 years (my how off I was), Hillary in 8, and McCain in 16. Its just a matter of degrees for these people. They divide us on social issues but they all play for the same endgame — kill freedom, grab power.
Good test, but I think you are missing one more thing, application. Heck, I've heard Hillary cite following the Constitution when complaining about President Bush and Obama mentioned it many times. They all claim to follow the Constitution- Application of its principles and the underlying Conservative principle it was founded upon are the key. If you don't have that underlying principle, you can read almost anything in to it if you try.
Get used to it because if you are on a Mitt thread and say anything negative about his liberalism, in short order you will be called every name in the book. Including but not limited to, "bigot", "hater", "liar".
When discussing Romney, I usually say something positive about him, such as, "he has nice hair", or, "he doesn't beat his dog, that I'm aware of", that seems to calm down some of the Romney worshipers.
Hillary also said that electoral college thing didn’t work. I guess another test would be (3) no one that ever wanted to be or became a lawyer.
You have no respect for people who sacrificed a great deal to protect the first amendment and stood up to some nasty people on the left for a very long time to do it or who have done much in their lives for the movement and conservative candidates. You should be thankful and grateful and saying so. Posters like you are undeniably an enemy within.
Not surprising coming from a poster who is obsessed with hatred for Mitt Romney, who has done much to build conservatism, while you and you despicable group do everything you can to tear it down.
You use the same Saul Alinsky tactics to shut people up as the left does. Such tactics have been used on myself and my brother by the left personally, so I am well familiar with them.
Buh-bye, Evan. You and your group are a colossal waste of time. You can say whatever you want to say. And people can choose to ignore you. That will be my tactic of choice in the future.
bump
That was AMAZING!!!!!!! I think I see the problem here...
Actually a couple...
The first is the inability to read what is posted to you...
The other...
Well, I'll leave it to the logical judgment of posterity...
I didn’t say anything about the population being tainted. Who was the last conservative elected in Mass?
Yeah, I noticed, but discussing things with resty is like discussing things with an angry child, so I just don’t respond.
