Have you met my cousin's boy?
He's gonna be President some day!

Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.
Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).
But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!
G.O.P., R.I.P!
Restornu, its not about feelings and hearts. Its about ideas and principles. Analyzing and rejecting Romneys ideas and principles are no reflection at all on feelings or hearts.

Finny, Resty is LDS like Romney. For them “truth” is only determined by feelings and hearts, not by rational thought. I know I used to be one.
Many people might need to go through the experience of living though a socialist regime before they can tell right from wrong. Romney is not the enemy.

I used to live in a communist country as a child (and yes I am a native born American). I can tell right from wrong. BOTH OBAMA and ROMNEY are the enemy.
Are you saying that Harry “the body” Reid holds a temple recommend?
Or that Romney does?
Or both?
Thanks for the clarification
I know that Romney does, he was the one I was referring to.
I believe Harry Reid does as well. I do know that Harry Reid attends his local ward (LDS congregation) in DC on Sundays, that does not necessarily mean he has a temple recommend but I would bet money on it.
If he does, that will strip away what respect I sincerely have (had) for LDS -->i.e., walking the walk vice just talking the talk.
Ooh, that Kook Aid must be strong...
My preference is Duancan Hunter. I just wish he could win a primary. :(
I like that party too, and I wish it could gain more traction.
Have you met my cousin's boy?
He's gonna be President some day!
Maybe...
This, however, DEFINITELY is!!
LOL. I think as a practical matter we need a freeze to allow time for a full consideration of which federal Departments to wholly eliminate, and for the subsequent transfer of their current employees to private industry, where they belong.
You can remain as obstinate as you want, but it remains true that people like yourself are responsible for nominating McCain .... and thus the terrible situation the GOP/conservatives find ourselves.
Romney was by far the strongest and yes, most conservative and articulate, of the Republican presidential candidates in 2008.
Which is why Romney was supported by 90% of the thinking ultra conservatives in America, like Rick Santorum, Paul Weyrich, Levin, Hewitt, Ann Coulter, Bob Jones III, James Dobson, even Limbaugh supported Romney although he stuck to his vow not to endorse.
I truly believe the wing of conservatism represented here on FR was responsible for destroying Romney from within the party, and thus became a willing dupe for the Democrats.
On every issue, Romney was to the right of McCain....
Immigration, judges, taxes, (McCain voted no on the Bush tax cuts), school choice, ... and a half dozen others I cant recall cause Im so tired of writing them over and over.
Im still ticked. McCain had absolutely NO BUSINESS even running for pres, at 72 y.o. with recurring cancer and a nasal irritating voice, boring as all get out, and an enemy of the faith based Christians, like myself.
Great, McCain was a valiant POW. He deserves a military medal, NOT the presidency. He was ALWAYS an enemy of the CHRIstian right. ALWAYS.
McCain is the one who destroyed the GOP, by simply teaming up with Hucklebee to destroy Romney.
I suspect all you'll get are ACCUSATIONS with nothing to back them up.
(This tactic is seen a LOT on any thread that manages to have even a hint of MORMONism about it.)
“What’s good for General Bullmoose is good for the USA!”
All of Palin's positions HAVE to be taken in the context of Alaska, which is an enormous state geographically, with its population of mostly working class people and Natives scattered across a wide variety of small rural towns and villages out in the boonies. Most of those folks have only high school educations or none at all, and home schooling of children, as done in the lower 48 states, simply is not that feasible for most Alaskan households. Think about those guys who work the crab boats on the Deadliest Catch. Very hard-working, very brave, but mostly uneducated past high school.
So it is NOT an issue for her as the governor.
Before making these kinds of judgments, you really need to take a trip up to Alaska to see the state and its challenges first hand since it is quite different than the rest, with schools and hospitals few and far between its population centers.
It's the 'welfare for ANYone' that has gotten us into the mess we are in!
DAMN subsidies for ANYTHING!!!
Quit stealing my money!!!
For some reason, these Romney haters cant help themselves.
Romney was by far the strongest and yes, most conservative and articulate, of the Republican presidential candidates in 2008.
(except Duncan, who doesn't have the likability factor)
Which is why Romney was supported by 95% of the thinking ultra conservatives in America, like Rick Santorum, Paul Weyrich, Levin, Hewitt, Ann Coulter, Bob Jones III, James Dobson, even Limbaugh supported Romney although he stuck to his vow not to endorse.
I truly believe the wing of conservatism represented here on FR was responsible for destroying Romney from within the party, and thus became a willing dupe for the Democrats.
You've made 13 million cry!
The is a reason and a method for that, but I won’t get into something that has become so obvious now except to say “Mitt Love” is a many splendid thing...
Speak for yourself, man! I was going to vote Libertarian until McCain selected Sarah Palin as his VP candidate, then I voted for HER!
