Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.
Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).
But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!
G.O.P., R.I.P!
Romney has the money and the rino support to smother the conservatives before they can even get started, now is the time to make it clear where conservatives stand, he is unacceptable.
In fairness, we will wait for AmericanGirlRising to elaborate on her prev post.
Ding Ding Ding...
We have a winner...
You are very gracious, Caribou! You do FR proud.
You get no argument from me regarding Romeny. The only thing nice I can say about Mitt is that he is better than the average democrat.
Obviously I like Palin. But who did I support way back in the primaries?
Huckabee.
(ducking for cover...)
No, actually I’m proud to say I cast my primary vote for Huck.
(you may now flame at will....)
I realize your mission on this forum is to go behind people who say negative things about Mitt Romney and go postal on them.
However, Mitt Romney DID make a comment about Sarah Palin and her book deal to open his speech at CPAC. You heard it one way and I remember it another. I didn’t lie. I didn’t make anything up. If you have the video or audio from the Slick Socialist’s speech, then by all means we can settle this. But however you want to spin it, Mitt Romney was digging at Sarah Palin in his opening remarks at CPAC. It was tasteless, classless and didn’t get laughs.
Romney certainly isn't my first choice, but if he's the last one standing and is our nominee... I'd gladly choose him over 4 more years of disaster... 4 years is an awfully long time, especially considering the real likelihood that Huss' VP at the time (won't be Biden), or Michelle, could follow this disaster
At the same time... Romney's the ONLY major player the past several months that's taking on the Clintons and Huss... The only one speaking for conservatives... I don't see anyone else doing that on the national stage... Honestly, even if I'm cheering what he says, rather than what he's done in the past, I see nothing wrong with it... Frankly, I don't care that he ran as a lib several years ago, in the most liberal state... If he runs as a solid, unabashed conservative and wins... I'll be behind him.
I replied to the allegations that I made up Romney’s anti Palin remarks. Please see down thread.
OK, yeah.
But remember... Hillary had the money and the dem support to quash a nobody named Obama. We all knew it was a given that Clinton would be the chosen one.
But we also know how THAT turned out.
But yeah. You’re right. We must send a message that Mitt is not acceptable.
I posted his EXACT words in Post #289... Compare that to your characterization of it... End of story.
If O bow ma is a sore covered whore, Romney is a two-thirds cover with sores whore. Wouldn’t kiss either one.
NYC Republican - List of conservatives who've taken on both the Clintons and Barack Hussein 0bama in the "past several months:" Senator Jim DeMint, Congressman Jeff Flake, Congressman Paul Broun, Congressman Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann.
You have options.

To hell with your feigned respect. You won’t be pushing Romney or any other abortionist/socialist on FR! Shows how little respect you actually hold for us.
Prove it. Post audio or video of his “exact words.” I believe your quote is not accurate. (See, saying something isn’t accurate is VERY different than accusing someone of lying.)
That tag line is a pro gun stance by me against the man that thinks that I bought my rifle to 'hunt down people and kill them' as a veteran it also troubles me that his family is so anti military that not one single Romney male has ever served the United States in the military.
Most recently we went straight from his father running as the "antiwar" candidate for president to Mitt avoiding the draft and living in France, to Mitt himself running to be a wartime Commander in Chief yet having five military age sons and not a one of them enlisting.
He lied about owning a gun, he lied about being a "lifetime" hunter and he is insane and the worst kind of weak, pandering politician for claiming that the American people only buy sporting rifles for "the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people"
Think about that quote for a minute.
Gov. Romneys news release, 7/1/2004) "These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense," Romney said. "They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people."
There are TONS of folks I’d support before Romney... Pence being at the top of my list... but, end of the day, if Romney’s going against Huss... I’m disagreeing with Mr JR. I’m gladly pulling the handle for Romney... and with these guys, it’s NOT nearly as consistent, and they don’t have NEARLY the same exposure... and it’s not Clintons and Huss... You’ve gotta give credit to Romney for WHAT he’s saying, even if you question his motives.
