The thing I don't understand about Romney supporters, is constantly stating things like "He governed as close to Conservative as he could in a liberal state."
If one is truly a Conservative, he/she runs as a Conservative, regardless of the political environment, and if he/she wins, one governs as a Conservative, regardless of the consequences (attacks from leftists/media, political battles, doesn't get re-elected, etc.).
So, when I read such comments about Romney, I take them to be saying a lot about the poster's Conservative "creds".

I’m not pushing Romney... I’m just saying I can’t draw a line in the sand and say no way, even if he ends up being the GOP candidate... Pence, Barbour, DeMint, dozens of others rate MUCH higher in my book... All I’m saying is we MUST stop the disaster that is Huss... There’s only one way to do it- at the polls.
