Is this the version that churches will be censored with?
goody- Can perez hilton be proscuted for hate speech about Miss California?? She’s a gay(s) victim
Sometimes I just want to crawl into a cave and stay there.
So does this mean that churches can’t preach against homosexuality?
What “speech” will be outlawed next?
*sticking tongue out with thumbs in ears and wiggling fingers*...”nana na na naaaaa”

“House Vote On Passage: H.R. 1913: Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009”
(April 29, 2009)
When we get back in office I want it to be a crime to speak against gun owners, conservatives, Christians etc. We can be just as thin skinned as the next guy...
Hate crimes bills are a bad thing in general, and unnecessary. If my family member is murdered, the criminal should be treated no less harshly because my realtive was not a minority, gay, etc. Killing someone for money or any other reason is just as evil. We do not need to pick “more serious” murders.
OK - not really. I don't believe in thought crimes. Plain old "crime" is good enough for me.
Perverts with a fetish for Nazi clothes who parade their mental illness in the streets to push the envelope of accepted behavior, is now a protected class.
Retaliate against a gay rapist, go to prison for hate crime. Criminals with more right than victims is what they seek.
The mental institution has taken over the free world.
Annie:
From the AP’s article:
“The bill...provide(s)...grants for investigation and prosecution of hate crimes. The federal government could step in and prosecute if states...declined to exercise their authority.”
O, et al, knows what is best for us.
There fixed it.
Used to be that just being a person gave you full access/protection under the law. My how times have changed.
Where do they keep the central registry of queers? It might pay for all of us to claim we are as queer as three-dollar bills to get “special” treatment.
Comment: As an aside this type of "Hate Crime" legislation is really class legislation. It is like the Medieval laws protecting nobles or high churchmen. Maybe after protracted abuse the peasant parents of exploited children will revolt.
My guy did the right thing, how about yours?
What are you going to do about it?
Contact your guy/gal and either thank them or chastise them.
-
chastise - transitive verb - one entry found.
1: to inflict punishment on (as by whipping)
2: to censure severely; to castigate

Hey Raider. Minnick voted Aye. It’s not that long until November 2010.
Since congress would not define sexual orientation, the bill has left a big opening for over 30 different sexual orientations. Ex: Frotteurism - which means approaching an unknown woman from the rear and pressing or rubbing his “thing” against her buttocks. Sorry but I would be charged with a hate crime with my response. Nice work Liberals!!
We are truly living in strange times when a fringe sexual group is allowed to criminalize those who stand for common decency. Mark my words, the next thing these freaks will do is try to get control of the schools so they can recruit our kids.
