The recently declassified memos written by Justice Department lawyers to CIA personnel provide more evidence the Bush administration and the CIA only used harsh interrogation techniques on captured terrorists when no other avenues were available.
From the beginning, administration lawyers scrambled to determine if the techniques the CIA requested to use would violate laws against torture

WEEKLY STANDARD.com: "PREENING & POSTURING Throwing those who guard us while we sleep to the wolves." by William Kristol (SNIPPET: "The dark and painful chapter we have to fear is rather the one President Obama may be ushering in. This would be a chapter in which politicians preen moralistically as they throw patriotic officials, who helped keep this country safe, to the wolves, and in which national leaders posture politically while endangering the nation's security. The preening is ridiculous, even by the standards of contemporary American politics and American liberalism. Obama fatuously asserts there are no real choices in the real world, just "false choices" that he can magically resolve. He foolishly suggests that even in war we would never have to do anything disagreeable for the sake of our security. He talks baby talk to intelligence officers: "Don't be discouraged that we have to acknowledge potentially we've made some mistakes. Thats how we learn."") (May 4, 2009 Issue)
WEEKLY STANDARD.com - blog: "GOSS: OBAMA DECISION "CROSSED A RED LINE"" -Posted by Stephen F. Hayes (SNIPPET: "Porter Goss, former CIA Director and past chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, blasted the Obama administration for releasing Justice Department memos on harsh interrogation techniques. "For the first time in my experience we've crossed the red line of properly protecting our national security in order to gain partisan political advantage," Goss said in an interview.") Acknowledging or allowing some democrat burro sphincter, or worse, the maimstream media, to unilaterally decide what torture might be, and to set a standard based on ASSumptions is akin to throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
To have an apologetic President tell the world what I know to NOT be true in my behalf, is to have a President who doesn’t have a clue what the duties of a President are, or one smidgen of Interest in the 230+ years of the preceding history of the greatest nation on the face of the earth.
His world wide apology tour is a slap in the face and worse, to every American soldier who laid down his or her life that we might enjoy freedom and liberty from the very ideas and principles Mr Obama is now attempting to promote on an international basis.

Hear, hear!
Former Abu Ghraib Brigadier General, Janis Karpinski AND House Judiciary Committee chairman/chief Bush "investigator", John Conyers Jr, are both endorsers of the Revolutionary Communist Party front "World Can't Wait". I think the 'investigation' needs to shift in a new direction!
“Former Abu Ghraib Brigadier General, Janis Karpinski”
This is the incompetent General who allowed egregious abuses of Iraqi prisoners to take place, due to her lack of leadership over an undisciplined and unprofessional crew that was ‘sleeping around’.
And she’s an anti-Bush BDSer. ... and SHE is pointing fingers?!?!? Pathetic, really pathetic.
There was also a 60 Minutes segment about her where she “lost” an Iraqi defector from Saddam’s regime who was helping us.
If she's involved with organizations like the Revolutionary Communist Party front, World Can't Wait, it seems to be about more than just Bush. Being angry is one thing, hopping in bed with our enemies is something else. Please check out the thread I linked to earlier.
