HARTFORD TEA PARTY AFTER ACTION: 5000 PATRIOTS IN CONNECTICUT?????

UNREAL! Hartford had over 5000 people gather on the steps of the State Capital building at today's Tax Day Tea Party!!

I started the day at 0600 with my sign and banner announcing the rally near the highway entrance in my town. It was awsome, the responses I got from the drivers...I had several thousand cars go by in the 2.5 hours I was there and over 20% honked their horns or gave me the thumbs up and the others read the sign with no comment.

In this blue state, that is a positive thing! :)

I got to the capital at 1100, dropped off my signs and banners and discovered I killed my batteries in my loudspeaker, so I went off to Walgreens and spent way too much for 4 lantern battteries and got back to the rally.

At 1145 I started leading the crowd in chants and public displays of disdain at the spending policies of the last and present administration and encouraged the crowd to chant with me!

From the sounds of it, they did quite well!

Our leader, Rick R. did a great job as Emcee.

Our first speaker was the talk show host Dan Lovallo who laid it out about the spending practices of the Connecticut government, both republican and democrat and their risky schemes they impress upon us.

Next was Bob Jacks, a local business owner who started one of the most successful truck stops in the New England area and local hotel, too. He spoke on the need for risk in work and how the bailouts eliminated the risk and replaced it with pork and government subsidy and took away initiative.

I forgot most speakers, One was Susan Kniepp, the former mayor of East Hartford who spoke on the increase in spending and it;s affect on rising taxes.

The last formal speaker was WTIC radio talk show host Jim Vicevich who hammered the Pols with truth and facts!

s I said earlier on another thread, the media will hide or keep the planes on the ground, but will not show anyone the aerial shots of these tea parties.

There are traffic choppers and planes so there should be hundreds of photos of the thousands true-Americans, in all markets. How few will the nightly news show us?

Great job RB. Local radio talk show hosts had terrific speeches but the best was saved for last with Americans from all walks of life speaking to take back our government!!!!
