The common thread throughout Darwins life was his continual struggle with the issue of death and suffering. He was never able to reconcile the existence of death, disease, and struggle with the character of a loving God:
I cannot persuade myself that a beneficent and omnipotent God would have designedly created the Ichneumonidae with the express intention of their feeding within the living bodies of Caterpillars, or that a cat should play with mice.[1]
Darwin was unable to understand why a loving Creator God would allow the horrible things he witnessed in nature and everyday life. Animals fed on one another; creatures ripped each other apart; women died in childbirth, etc. The world seemed heartless and cruel. Darwins eventual expansion of the concept of evolution seemed to provide a somewhat positive purpose for the suffering and death he could not explain.
Two of Darwins biographers went so far as to imply that...

Filo: Once the living material exists evolution provides the answer to how it becomes trees and rabbits and stupid ‘thumpers with ease.
LOL...in other words, “after the miracle, evolution explains the rest with ease.”
And as funny as that sounds, I would still like to challenge Filo to cite the evidence that macro-evolution has taken place, even if we assume the first proto-cell.
Hey! Why was that last thread pulled? No explanation given!
I’m not sure. Let’s ask the Mods.
Does anyone know why the following was pulled???
“Missing Links Found: Walking Seal, Teen Tyrannosaur (more just-so stories from Temple of Darwin)”

I know I’d like to know...
GGG,
You wouldn’t believe it, but this is what I was posting when I saw that thread go down...
“Gotta be honest with you... I’m probably going to read all of your posts on this subject because they are both interesting and entertaining. But I’m probably not going to comment on them anymore.
It’s not that I don’t enjoy the debate, it just makes me sick that I almost got the boot when I first started on this site because I didn’t support McCain yet all bets seem to be off when it comes to people ridiculing the Christian faith. You and I and others with the similar opinion are not just taken to task and debated, we are verbally attacked for our faith. Because of this I have at times become over-zealous in my answers and been a poor example of my Christian faith. I would think the moderators who so avidly defend the Republican party and the Constitution would be just as quick to defend the Christian faith that the Constitution was in large part based upon.
It’s not about whining or being thin-skinned. It’s about supporting what I believed was the focus of this. Maybe I was wrong about the focus...
This, to me should be a haven from the kind of Darwinism and Atheist rhetoric that we hear from the rest of the world everyday. The kind of thinking the Liberal theology is rooted in. At the very least the debate should be fair and fairly moderated.
Keep up the fight... GG”
It was pulled because it was a duplicate posted by the same poster.
Ahh...
Gotcha.
And as Rosanne Rosanna-Danna said...
“Never mind.”
All the best—GGG
Given the explanation of what happened, can the original post be deleted and reposted as a new thread?
Very strange, the mod will not communicate with me. Oh well, I guess this one went down the memory hole. If you want to read the original (since it’s up and running again) go here:

Darwin wasn't a god, he was a scientist … [excerpt]Darwin's formal education was in theology.
Thank you kindly... I shall peruse. May be because of a perceived rudeness in my reply. If so, sorry ‘bout that.

Very strange, the mod will not communicate with me. [excerpt]When they get busy they overlook incoming pings or whatever.
==No, after abiogenesis Evolution takes over.
You mean after your just-so miracle takes place, evolution takes it the rest of the way?
==They are separate concepts, neither is a miracle.
Neither abiogenesis, nor macro-evolution, has ever been observed in nature, or in the lab. And yet you stubbornly cling to the unscientific idea that one or both is true. Why is that Filo?
==You’d have to look at and understand the fossil record, the DNA record and comparative anatomy, for starters...You don’t need a doctorate in either, but you do need to grasp the concepts.
I’m pretty sure that I understand all of the above at least as much as you do. So go ahead and cite your best scientific evidence that macro-evolution has occurred.
==In other words, you should probably just forget about it and stick with your sky monsters.
LOL...as opposed to Darwood’s natural selection god?
“There was probably just a food fight in isle 3 or something.”
I’ve been on a diet for a couple of months now... please don’t mention food.
Just for the record, was it a cheeseburger???
Dream the impossible dream...just don’t act on it!
“Dream the impossible dream...just dont act on it!”
In that case... it was a cheeseburger. A quadruple bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions and extra cheese. Oh, and extra bacon.
And ham. I mean A ham.
And I believe somebody just threw a bowl of chicken fettucine alfredo with mushrooms. Probably an atheist with no regard for my soul’s salvation.
