I’ve believed for awhile that our country has gotten to the point of needing prosperity to keep us civilized — it acts as a societal lubricant after most other civilizing institutions and mores have been degraded. When the prosperity goes away — watch out.
‘The “ME” generation has become the “F*** YOU” generation IMHO’
Or
‘The “ME” generation has become the “F*** IT’ generation.
I’m not sure which is more frightening.
Yep.

This is like watching the media go crazy over the shark killings. Don’t these murders happen all the time, but dont get reported at the national level like this? Something here reeks.....

Hello trolls from the DUmp, getting your jollies today blaming FReepers?
it IS Obamas fault indirectly
______
That’s just a crock. Did you blame Bush indirectly for the Va Tech shootings?
I thought around here we assigned responsibility squarely on the individual who carried the actions out.
Agreed, but the perception of how unfair the system is drives MUCH bad behavior.
The stress of obomanomics, the threat of losing their country to Marxism, unemployment, fear, anger............ expect to see a lot more of this. Same thing happened during the great depression.
That’s an extremely astute observation.
“It’s the hopelessness people have after listening to Obama.”
Let’s face it, if this was under President Bush, that is exactly what some journalists, in “serious” venues, would be saying (substituting “Bush” for “Obama” of course).
Sorry, not buying your theory.
