A pilotless U.S. drone aircraft fired a missile in northwest Pakistan on Saturday, killing 13 people including some foreign militants, security officials and residents said.
The attack was in the North Waziristan region, a stronghold of al Qaeda and Taliban militants on the Afghan border, in an area 35 km (20 miles) west of the region's main town of Miranshah at about 3 a.m. (6 p.m. EDT on Friday), they said.
"The missile hit a house where some guests were staying," one intelligence agency official said, referring to foreign militants.
"We have information that 13 people were killed including some guests," said the official, who declined to be identified.
One resident, Amir Shah, said drones were still flying over the area several hours after the attack.
Many al Qaeda and Taliban militants fled to northwestern Pakistani border regions such as North Waziristan after U.S.-led forces ousted the Taliban in Afghanistan in late 2001.

Good.
It’s good but it shows 0bama is a war criminal and doesn’t care about colateral damage.
It’s 0bama’s war, now!
If this was under President Bush, the house would of been full of women and children...and they were praying
Accurate Intel was acted upon. Successes were made.
Oh, c'mon. Ogabe is a DemocRAT. Therefore he has immunity from committing war crimes.
Its 0bamas war, now!

This Stooge is a fake!
I wonder how long his “useful idiots” will fall for this
travesty.
0bama is going to do what he can to decimate our military.
He will seduce and deceive all he can to achieve that goal.
Where’s Bill Ayers, Cindy Sheehan and Justin Ramaindo?
Shows how full of crap they really are.
Would this strike be a result of capturing the 3 high ranking terrorist earlier this week?
The intel breifings must be pretty hardcore if it has Bambi rattled enough to stay in the game like this.
The silence from the war protestors is deafening of course...
PURE PROOF IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE WAR.
Ping
Obama lied...people died.
There is something to this because he is delivering what he said in the campaign and it is the only thing he is delivering. I would love for someone to do some investigative work on this one because frankly I don’t think this has anything to do with protecting our country. I think it has to do with some kind of “quid pro quo” on campaign contributions. I hope someone does some investigating.
The compound was a munitions and weapons storage dump for Gul Bahadur, a Waziri Taliban commander connected to Sirajuddin Haqqani. Large secondary explosions.
BTW, now confirmed, Bait'Ullah Mehsud had nothing to do with the attack in Lahore. He's running scared and puffing himself up. He knows he's a dead man and wants his "martyrdom" to have a legendary status.
Here’s the gallows humor for this weekend:
