“I dread the trigger event whereby my passions will give themselves license beyond my ability to restrain them.
At that point, no-limit hunting season opens.”
How would this be different than the shootings we’ve seen in the last couple of days? Undoubtedly, those people strongly believed that their emotions and beliefs were “in the right”, and their actions defendable, just as you would...
Expressing dissatisfaction by using deadly violence is never to be commended, IMO. Doesn’t matter how strongly the individual believes they are “right”. That’s just falling back on the “might makes right” argument, which basically means a person’s ideas don’t hold water.
Anyone who wants to protect the 2nd amendment should condemn the use of weapons to express hopelessness, anger, or frustration. Those are emotions that belong in a therapist’s office, not behind a weapon.
“Wanting some payback is natural. But it would be better to figure out how to get them aware of what they did wrong instead.”
Well said. Because it’s not hard to realize that the other attitude of retribution would have led democrats to “take out” republicans during Bush’s term. An “eye for an eye” leaves everyone blind.
In that case I don't feel one bit sorry for them.
I appreciate your response. I was reading a lot of responses that suggested violent responses, and I was getting alarmed before I even got to your post.
I understand your sentiment. I find myself really wondering where this is all going to go. It really seems like BO is destroying America as we know it, and his statements about America at the G20 aren’t helping my opinion. I don’t know what the solution is, if the BC thing doesn’t pan out. I feel fairly certain now that he won’t be re-elected, but will America last that long? But I get uncomfortable, when I think of people taking the law into their own hands. America had origins in violence, in order to effect a rule of law. I want us to continue to be a nation of laws, not violence, but when the “leaders” don’t follow the laws, or create crazy laws, what then? I don’t know.....
But I appreciate your drawing the distinction of what you meant.
By the way, you are a very good writer, if I may say so.
Being born 1971, all the Presidents, except Reagan, in my life time have been dreadful. My first 10 years were Nixon, Ford and Carter. Just awful. The we got a break with Reagan. Didn’t accomplish all he wanted to do, but a great President none the less. The we got Bush Sr. Not as bad as the first three, but mediocre at best and he caved to a Democratic congress. Then we got Clinton. While he seemed bad at the time. Obama has actually made him look ....just mediocre. Bush Jr. was a joke. Nothing conservative about him. He was Nixon redux without the major scandal. Now we got Barack “Barry” Hussien Obama-Dunham-Sotero-Obama who just may be the worst in this nations history.
“People dont enjoy watching the President grovel to Europe.”
Every American needs to see the photo of him bowing to the saudi animal that the MSM is hiding from them.
Pronto!
A good half or more of them have no idea what Obama is doing. They just say they approve because they think it's the right answer. look at polls of public knowledge sometime. The average citizen can't tell you who his Congressman is, or his senators. They certainly will have no idea what, for example, transpired at G-20. All they know is that the media tells them it was good. So it must be good.
Thats right when they figure out that his REPARATION stimulus went to bolster ACORN and his 250 thousand man Army and had nothing to do with helping the overall economy.
But I doubt that any of his sycophants will ever figure it out all they are worried about is what Michelle is wearing to expose her arms
To twist the arms of Moderate Democrats we have to find some Republicans with some fiber stronger than limp Capellini in their biceps.
....that kind is in short supply in Washington DC!
>>>From a polling standpoint, these numbers — and their trend — are bad news for Obama and his henchmen. And good news for us. <<<
Yes...BUT! I don’t think Obama gives much of a damn about ratings....particularly if he can get major changes toward a US that is more socialist, more fascistic, passed into law before the US tanks around him.
If you haven’t read this....it fits whats happening tighter than OJ’s glove. I urge all to read it!

Agreed. Obama, his supporters and his handlers don't give a damn about rating.
Their strategy was to go as far as they could, as fast as they could -- hoping that, by the time the nation woke up, they would've remade the US into a socialist country.
However, the nation may be waking up a little sooner than they wished. Or expected.
In which case, it is Congress that is more likely to respond. The Dem Reps and Senators will vote for socialism only so long as it isn't going to cost them their seat.
These are the guys we need to target.
Yep! I agree....but have a small problem. My guys are "girls"...Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray of Washington State - both liberal, dumb as mud fences, and fully in the Obama camp.
But I write them anyway....but I can't stand to read their replys - sugary sweet liberal slop!
You have my condolences.
A former pastor of mine told me today that I am too hard on the American people. He said that the people of America cannot be blamed for the unfolding events of doom because they are so ignorant and lacking in moral judgment that they have no idea of the fate awaiting them. They are, he said, to be pitied and prayed for, not constantly castigated.
There are so many states like WA State now that there is virtually nowhere left to defend freedom. I guess the old English Tories were on to something about people and freedom.
