It certainly appears so.
None of the MSM have bothered to report on this; whether it is from sheer pusillanimity or from their disgusting sycophancy toward the Kenyan cur, their failure to merely report this unprecedented act is almost as contemptible as Obama's.
Aw heck, I know they probably will... I don’t have my hopes up too high (seen too much in just the last 10 years to do that anymore...). I know the MSM is complicit in helping destroy this nation...
Totally comparable with the gaffe Clinton made though back in 1994 - a head bow, and slightly slumped shoulder, but not genuflecting, and bending at the waist. (There was a link earlier in the thread)

Someone around here mentioned that the video showed BHO bowing in front of other heads of State. That’s a great and salient point.
It’s still a start... If it’s caught the eye of an editor and he sees fit to print an editorial and it appears in the print edition, it’s still printed, isn’t it?
Look, I’m not saying that the MSM WILL cover this... If they were REAL Journalists they WOULD report this, but I’m not under any such misconception when it comes to our MSM.
I’m also reminded at this moment that Google News stopped linking to a VERY large number of media outlets about a year ago... I think I’ll go search on some other sites. Again, it’s not like I’m sitting here holding my breath...

Holding hands, hand shaking are both the acts of EQUALS. A BOW is an act of SUBMISSION and/or SUBSERVANCE! I didn’t care for Bush’s stroll with the King that much myself, but the two acts are in NO WAY comparable! What do you think would have happened to you in the middle ages (A time the Saudi’s still live in by the way.) If you walked up to your sovereign and shook their hand instead of bowing? Does the term “OFF WITH THEIR HEAD” come to mind?

While not giving gifts may be the norm for a Muslim, there is such a thing as protocol, and people who were there to do that job. If his Ego-ness could take a break from the mirror and get a briefing on what is correct for the situation, these gaffes would go away quickly, and Michelle could find some decent looking upscale clothes.
Do you mean bowing TO other heads of State besides the Saudi King, or bowing in FRONT of other heads of State... I think you meant the latter if I’m remembering the post you are! LOL And you’re right... It’s a very salient point that he would show submission in front of other world leaders. It puts an instant ranking on every other nation’s leader — that he considers them (and himself) below the Saudi King. At least that’s how I see it...

I wonder if any Aussie FReepers could try to get ABC to do a follow-up on this subject since it so clearly touches on a story they reported previously. Might be a long shot, but we need some media to start picking it up and get it into the mediastream.

Saudi King Tells His Own Subjects to Bow Only Before Allah
New Saudi King Abdullah has effectively banned citizens from kissing his hand or that of any member of the royal family, saying only fathers and mothers deserved such reverence.
“Brothers, there is something on my mind I want to tell you,” King Abdullah told delegations of princes, officials and ordinary citizens at his palace in the Red Sea city of Jeddah.
“Kissing hands is something alien to our values and ethics, and is refused by free and honest souls,” he said, quoted by the official SPA news agency.
“Moreover, it leads to bowing, which violates God’s law as the faithful bows only to the one and only God."

Wow... Just went back to the Saudi Gazette and even they’ve changed the picture... Glad I got that Screen Shot while it was there. (To be fair, the cartoons in the margin are different, too so it could be the new day’s publication)
