New Mormon anti-freeper site and campaign to bankrupt FR
rumor mill | March 29, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 03/29/2009 2:35:03 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.

I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.

If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.

And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?

God bless.

The term “conservative” does not automatically equate to “religious” or “christian”. You can be conservative in your politiics and the way you conduct your life and yet not believe in religion.

Why do you assume differently?

The Constitution isn’t the Bible and vice-versa.

I know Navajo FRY bread.

Yum. My wife used to work as a cashier at the frybread booth at the Festival of the American West. She has a thing for frybread.

Now that I've moved to California, it's harder to find. I'm only aware of one restaurant in our surrounding area that sells Navajo tacos. However, there is an occasional pow-wow here in town that brings a few vendors. The wife usually drags me out to them for frybread or Navajo tacos.

Greyfoxx and the others here SAVED ME, here on FR.

I was trying to prove a referenced quote wrong and found it to be true. THEY SAVED ME FROM THE CULT ON A THREAD LIKE THIS. A lifetime of brainwashing fell apart in hours after reading the lies and discovering the coverup. I investigated trying to prove the Crhsitians wrong only to find what they were saying TRUE, ALL OF IT. Then and only then was God able to come into my heart and truly save me.

What we post is for the lurkers and those who may be approached by their missionaries someday.

Breaking a covenant with a religion you believe to be false shouldn’t be a problem.

And if “by correction” you mean that by stating that the bible of Judaic-Christian believers has been corrupted along with all of the churches that respect and follow its teachings,

++++++++++++++++

No, corrected means the many times where ya’ll have been shown that you say we teach something that we do not teach.

Like today's attempt to say we teach that GOD IS A MAN when it is clear to those who care about the truth understand that we teach that man may grow into his Godhood. The difference may look small, but it is a lie and it makes readers believe that we teach that God is only a man.

I do not understand why ya’ll donot want to insure your teachings are accurate. Why do you need to cover up what we teach.

Ask him if he read the rest of the article, or if he can provide you with the context article from a 60 year old magazine.

After that answer, I don't have to.

If it's a 60 year old magazine, then it has most likely been sanitized or purged to further deceive people into joining the LDS church.

Now, do you believe the accurate quote from the writings of your prophets/leaders or not?

At least we can see that you know it is accurate and does exist.

Thank you

greyfoxx and I and several other posters here are ex-mormon. We are only trying to warn people about the parts of Mormonism that Mormons keep silent about. This practice is called meat before milk. Mormons believe that you aren’t properly prepared to accept the “deeper” doctrine.

I believe this is a form of lying to the unsuspecting. I think that anyone who is investigating Mormonism should recieve the whole truth - all the facts - so that then the investigator will be able to make a truly informed decision. For that, we are labeled “anti-Mormon.”

Don’t you even wonder a tiny bit why they try to hide their own doctrine? Why don’t they gladly shout it from the rooftops.

If you google the term “Lying for the Lord” you will see many, many sites about Mormonism pop up and very few referrences to other religions. Have you ever wondered about the very costly PR campaign the Mormons have launched during recent years and why. It isn’t just about gaining members IMO, it is about changing public perception.

So it is true that you claim that the God of the OT was once a man who grew into His Godhood?

And ya’ll work very hard to force us to think only like ya’ll.
=+=+=

No one is attempting that.
Another deception on your part.

We are trying to get you to think. For yourself.
++++

We shall let the reader decide that.

Which mormon god are you referring to ?

LDS/FLDS Pearl of Great Price, Abraham 4:
1 AND then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, and they, that is the aGods, borganized and formed the cheavens and the earth.
3 And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light; and there was light.
6 And the Gods also said: Let there be an aexpanse in the midst of the waters, and it shall divide the waters from the waters.
18 And the Gods watched those things which they had aordered until they obeyed.

Isaiah 44:6 ‘I am the first and I am the last; beside me there is no god.’"

Isaiah 44:8: ‘You are my witnesses! Is there a God besides me? There is no Rock; I know not any.

Isaiah 45:5. ‘I am the Lord, and there is no other, beside me there is no other God; I gird you… that men may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none beside me; I am the Lord, and there is no other.

10 seconds until fproy calls me a liar....

You have the right to say you do not believe God’s teaching to be true.

Wow, now you use the word "God" to try to make it look like the poster you responded to does not accept the teachings of the God of the Bible.

It is "heavenly father"'s, a man that became your god, teaching that are not true.

God's teachings are.

Good job following the dictates of your leaders in deception and avoiding questions.

There is a more definitive search function than the “A to Z” search at the LDS website, Fred. Searching “Exalted Man” at the LDS.org website yields this:

++++++

Like ya’ll have taught before, milk before meat.

I do not believe that some here have learned how to study the less directed answers.
