President Barack Obama said he believes the global financial system remains at risk of implosion with the failure of Citigroup or AIG, touching off “an even more destructive recession and potentially depression.”
His remarks came in a “60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by an incredulous Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.
“You're sitting here. And you're— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, "I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money—” How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asks at one point.
“Are you punch drunk?” Kroft says.
“No, no. There's gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day,” Obama says, with a laugh.

Obama’s “humor” is disconnected and inappropriate. His humor is more in line with a disconnected sociopathic personality than a healthy laugh and levity amongst friends.

I make the best of it. I’m an evangelical Christian whose boss is homosexual, and he’s learned from me that we are not “hateful.”
I think for some of my coworkers I am literally the only conservative, and only Christian, they’ve ever known, other than some disdained relatives in “flyover country.”
I try to represent conservatism, and Christianity, well.
In the Welfare line and at the DNC Convention would be my guess. ;-)

That fellow rabs was arguing with was of the “We must get McCain elected to save the country” group that was dominated FR prior to election day. Hannity and Levin were stirring up this hysteria to republicans. As bad as Obama is, McCain with a democrat majority would solve nothing and create even more problems. If it were McCain and a conservative republican majority, I might think different. But Mccain wasnt even trying to help the R party win congress seats. He had abandoned them for his own gain.

Exactly! He'd join with Democrats and bash Republicans, at will. Bailout McCain would be pushing his big spending bills, immigration "reform" and cap-and-trade programs under a "bipartisan" label and "rebranding" the GOP with liberal hogwash. No thanks!

Hillary Clinton would be politically savvy enough to work with. She'd recognize that you can't implode the economy (a la BO), then expect to get any other bills she wanted (HillaryCare, whatever) passed.
That would be the positive thing that will come out of this....Obama has blown all of his goodwill in the first few weeks. Granted, a 2 trillion (or whatever it is) hole is a big one to fill in....but ultimately, it's fixable. Socialized Medicine, or Cap-and-Trade, or any one of a dozen initiatives proposed by this wild-eyed socialist, might just destroy the country.
I personally would have much better days when NObama is on first hand basis with the gallows, and we all could then be in a better humor, watching the economy rebound.
Makes me wonder what was censored. My guess is that (politics aside) CBS wanted to show BO generally in a good light, if for no other reason than CBSNews wants to maintain good access to the office of the president.

I do not think that obama blatantly raising his leg to show it off to the female reporters is going to go down in history well.
I guess he was proud of it. Not very Presidential or classy in groups of people but I don’t expect either of obama.

The clip of female journalists on a plane moaning as they watch Barack Obama talking on a cell phone was actually filed under “breaking news video” on the CNN website with the caption, “Obama in jeans: Sen. Barack Obama surprises the press corps by wearing jeans.”
Now, the video’s on YouTube. And it really should have a content warning advising viewers to watch it only on a completely empty stomach. Several members of the press corps yell at an agent to “sit down” because she’s obstructing their view. They giggle and sigh “You’re killing us” as he straddles across a row of seats and they furiously click away on their cameras.
Kneepads, ladies?
