Vice President Joe Biden told a joke about Barack Obama's birth certificate at the Gridiron dinner in Washington, D.C. last night.
The joke was reported by Mike Allen at Politico in his article about Biden's intentionally funny speech (as opposed to his usual foot in mouth routine.):
"You know, I never realized just how much power Dick Cheney had until my first day on the job. I walked into my office, and you know how the outgoing president always leaves the incoming president a note in his desk? I opened my drawer and Dick Cheney had left me Barack Obamas birth certificate."
Numerous court cases have been filed demanding documentation by Obama that he meets the Constitution's requirement that a president be a natural born citizen. Obama has fought those lawsuits instead of producing the requested documentation. His campaign produced a document last summer it claimed proved he was a natural born citizen.
odumbo must love this
I guess you had to be there.
Biden is ready to be President.
The point of the joke is notably vague.
One can only wonder what the Obama people could be scrambling for behind the scenes, and how much their birth certificate anxiety has increased with each passing day.
He’s a bigger idiot than I thought. That’s not even funny. Where is the irony? If there were any truth to it, or if Cheney were involved in the birth certificate issue, then it would have been funny.
Biden is the joke......
Many a truth is said in jest.
Perhaps he's telegraphing something....
Perhaps.
President Bidet and Vice President Hillary!
One heartbeat away...
Cheney’ note to Slow Joe found in the desk drawer: There is a life jacket in the closet to use when thinking about jumping into the deep end of the Think Tank.
If only he really had it so he could show it and put an end to the questions!
Obama, the first president in decades not to attend the Gridiron Club dinner during his first year in office, couldn't make it because he's busy preparing for Easter, Biden said. "He thinks it's about him," Biden said of the holiday.
“But the Obama Administration really is a good team. I am the experienced veteran. Rahm can be an enforcer. And Tim Geithner is always there when you need to borrow money. And no questions asked.”
Hahahahahahaha ... oh, wait a minute. He’s not joking.
Uh Oh, Joe hasn’t beeen taking his lithium
As far as I’m concerned, Biden can be president starting tomorrow.
“busy preparing for Easter”
Lol. Easter isn’t until April 12. Try another excuse.
Or how about the truth? Obama was afraid that the roast would lower his popularity numbers even more.
‘He really is funny in person’
Other than the Dobbs joke, Biden was pretty funny.
Strange how Biden can develop jokes about Obama but Leno and Letterman are lost.
