Are you a terrorist suspect?--Did you support Ron Paul ?

Are you a terrorist suspect?

Did you support Ron Paul for president last year?

Do you believe there are people actively working to merge the U.S. with Mexico and Canada?

Do you display an American flag?

Did you ever display a Libertarian Party bumper sticker on your car?

Do you buy gold?

Any of these characteristics might lead law enforcement authorities to conclude you represent a danger to the republic. You are more likely to be a militia member or a domestic terrorist, according to a document distributed to Missouri police and, potentially, law enforcement authorities nationwide.

That is the stunning news from a Feb. 20 report called "The Modern Militia Movement," which identified these "red flags" or warning signs.

Don’t confuse government employees with the facts.

I would also add "Did you buy a gun where a NICS check was performed?"

If so, they already have your name, address, and everything else.

We need to make a flag(s) with that wonderful artwork on it...

Sir, would it be a copyright infringement upon you if that were done???

I am feeling very treaded upon, and flying a flag with that on it along with our National Ensign would make me very happy...Flag protocols being strictly adhered to of course...

Not if you buried it or sold it at a gunshow, or "officer, it's wierd that you show up the same day asking about my guns on the day they were stolen".

Now now, stop making folks (more) paranoid. We're all on so many lists for ...as termed by Janet Reno back in the day .... "Government Intervention" that this factoid is useless.

Subscribe to a gun magazine? LISTED (for each subscription)

Have a concealed weapons permit? LISTED

Registered Freeper? LISTED -- Donating FREEPER? subcategory LISTED again.

Prior military? LISTED -- Officer or NCO? Prioritized listing.

Former or current LEO? LISTED

NRA/GOA/CCRKBA/SAF/SAS member(s)? LISTED one for each and cross referenced.

Member of IDPA/USPSA/IPSC/SASS? LISTED as armed and constantly training to be MORE dangerous, especially to the tyrant's minions!

I didn’t notice: Are you a member of Free Republic?

I think he meant in the list.
I'm quite surprised FR was not on the list, too.

You know the one thing I keep noticing when people talk about the government? - we continue to allow them (govt) to believe that we work for them, that they are a separate entity - when in fact they work for us and WE ARE the govt. We need to turn the around.

This reminds me of the Soviet Union. They use to put crazy people in institutions or send them to Siberia. They defined "crazy" as anyone who disagreed with the government.

I foresee a catch 22 on gun ownership. You have to be sane to own a gun and anyone who wants to own a gun can’t be sane.

Got it, sorry incredulous joe.

This is the Missouri list, I'm sure a national list would be more comprehensive.

Yes, several in the last year. I’m already on a number of lists, so why not?

A great number of them will. The government will institute the exact amount of tyranny that the people will allow.

IIRC, the militia is defined as all able bodied male citizens between the ages of 16 and 45 years.

Older in many states, some no age restriction, simple able. I always had an image of Illinois Commander in Chief Blagovitch on a horse, calling up the militia.

Sheesh ! And I thought I was Low Profile..Guess I’m approaching well known according to your list....

Yup. I already went thru all these anxieties during the Clinton regime. I have concluded that I'm on so many lists that when THEY start coming for citizens, I'll be among the first, so I ain't worried. Beside, I don't really expect to be here, anyway. RAPTURE READY?

Here are a few more "lists" anyway:

Ever written a letter to the editor of any newspaper of a conservative political nature? LISTED

Member of a fundamentalist CHRISTIAN mailing list? LISTED

Member of a church and regularly attending or at least donating? LISTED (via church bank records for those of us who write checks).

Drive any 4x4 vehicle (SUV, pickup, etc) LISTED but cross referenced to other lists. Not a threat if the only indicator is the vehicle.

Member of any conservative book or DVD club? LISTED

Can anybody add to this ummmm LIST?

I purchased the right to use that logo for my books, so you would have to make another arrangement with the artist. He sells shirts etc with that logo.

As I was saying before, people will need to choose soon. Waiting for a crisis under extreme stress and less than optimal operating conditions isn't exactly the best time to have to choose. Doing this is the same mindset that causes all of these poorly prepared people to be out and about NOW scouring their areas for firearms and ammunition because suddenly they realize that the freaks aren't as freaky as they once thought and perhaps there is something to be said for having some real physical security.

But the time to decide that one has a problem is NOT when the problem suddenly bursts forth and becomes a roadblock in our lives.

Of course, most people will read things like this and evaluate where it gets filed in their mental list of things that are important to them, and most will file it somewhere under "pay no attention because these people are barking at the moon crazy". But at the same time, inwardly they'll wonder to themselves of the possibility of truth and they'll start paying a little closer attention, even if they don't talk about it, or outwardly acknowledge it. But by the time they decide to actually act, they will be in a true crisis and of course they'll expect everybody to share it with them. These people aggravate me so much that I can't possibly convey it. They've come to me (and others I know) before in a crisis but we watched it in its initial phase, and tried to warn them...watched it through its development, and tried to warn them...watched it become a "real problem", and tried to warn them, and then observed it flourish into a full blown crisis. At that point, these short sighted and willfully stupid people run around in full panic mode as if the crisis had JUST STARTED, and of course everybody around them is expected to share in it, and many do. But we don't. We move back and distance ourselves and shake our heads in sheer amazement. Then (of course) we are accused of being mean and heartless because we've distanced ourselves. More criticism will be hurled at us if we tell them WHY we're generally avoiding them! We've pretty much come to terms with the general opinion from the types described above that we're just mean and heartless people.

It's sort of like this classic moronic argument for or against God. All but the most hardened and willfully stupid atheist will admit that something had a hand in the creation of the natural world around us. Frankly, I think it's a little hard to deny. But people will work through this crisis, ignoring it until it comes to a head with them internally, at which point they willfully ignore truth to their own detriment, or admit the obvious and then act...which is typically described as faith...something which too few Americans seem to have. Far too many Americans incorrectly believe that faith involves kneeling and praying that a huge pile of poop will magically disappear while in truth it has more to do with us grabbing a shovel and working on it one shovel full at a time! Faith is a VERB...as is INTESTINAL FORTITUDE...and the two compliment each other very well!

This is why I laugh to myself every time I read the Obama propaganda about hope and change. How many times when we were AD did some crusty old SNCO tell us to "piss in one hand and hope (or wish) in the other"?...and then tell us to "see which one fills up first!" Passivity justified by baseless hope and the empty (or MISDIRECTED) promise of change is one of the most worthless and dangerous things I've ever heard. Worse than this, people use it as a basis for their actions, because they choose to believe something that can't possibly be true! It's the basis for JUSTIFIABLE COWARDACE. But far worse than this, some 51% of the voting adults in this nation saw enough in it to vote in that direction. I've asked myself if so many people can truly be that stupid, and the answer is obviously "Yes. They really CAN be THAT stupid!.

I didn't mean to turn this into a discussion of faith. But the point is the same. Most people are just willfully stupid until the facts come crashing down on them, and then suddenly it's REAL to them. But the truth is that it is as REAL now as it's ever going to get. Those who ignore the facts ignore them at their own peril.
