Obama Requires YOU to SERVE, H.R.1388, "The Give Act" to reform the National Service Laws

HR 1388, will hit the House floor on Tuesday.It is called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (The Give Act.) The House is scheduled to Rule this week. Sponsored by Democrat Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Education and Labor Committee. The objective is to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.

Democrat Rep. McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, ALL Democrats, including Charlie Rangel. Need I say more.

That is exactly what I'm talking about. Think of the founding of the country, people risking everything to establish freedom for the country. Valley Forge, the spirit of the pioneers, the greatest generation standing rock solid against the nazis.

Now we have some sap thinking that all you have to do is send in your tax return.

I concede your point but still think you are failing to credit the communists with the ability they have shown numerous times.

yes 99.99% of our military would never think of shooting an innocent. yes the same people would never think to use their force upon American civilians.

It won’t come about overnight, it will be small steps accompanied with massive propaganda. For example the recent exercise in Iowa to search house to house for a ‘weapons dealer’. Those troops have no idea what they are really doing and are just following orders.

People with evil intent will seek out the more gullible, power hungry or whatever and will create their version of the SS or Gestapo. Next a specific class of people will be selected for persecution. This will help to unify the compliant and divide those who dissent. My guess is that it will be Christians or people who refused to accept the gay lifestyle. That’s how Stalin, Pol Pot, Hitler, Chavez (he’s trying), Castro did it. Of course some were more efficient at killing.

Well said....unity and a common goal are what it is going to take to make this stand.

The shot heard around the world IMO will initially be suppressed by the media but will get out with todays technology.

One thing to keep in mind is the importance of a short wave radio.

It would be too easy for information to be controlled and outright eliminated...without communications we would virtually be "in the dark"

We should hit the major intersections in all cities across the country with protest signs. Every single day, someone different with a different sign. Coordinate it per city. Shouldn’t be hard to do. Good grief people. We gotta start somewhere.

I would never forget the power of the commies but this is different in my view. So far we have the ability to stop what we see is occuring the queston is will we. I have faith that we will. You scenario is entirely plausable too and at some point it will be too much, I hope.

The difference is those people risked everything to establish freedom because they WANTED to do it. No one FORCED them to do it. I do not think that the only thing I owe my country is my taxes. I also dont believe my country should FORCE me to do anything except obey the law. Forced service to the country will not cause patriotism any more than rape causes one to fall in love with the rapist.
