HR 1388, will hit the House floor on Tuesday.It is called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (The Give Act.) The House is scheduled to Rule this week. Sponsored by Democrat Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Education and Labor Committee. The objective is to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.
Democrat Rep. McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, ALL Democrats, including Charlie Rangel. Need I say more.
You are hereby notified that you are volunteered to accomplish this task as soon as possible, as authorized under the GIVE Act. We will be monitoring your progress carefully, Comrade Gramma :)
I watched this 20 second video last Summer before the Election. Right? It was chilling. No one in the Media picked up on it. No one asked him one question. COWARDS!!! All the Republicans need to do is speak directly to the Public and expose Obama for who he is. The Republicans and All media are missing a huge opportunity here.

Then when zer0 made that other statement that said we can't drive our SUV’s, we can't keep our thermostats are 72 degrees and we can't eat as much as we want, I knew we were screwed. He wants to control the food, power, every aspect of our lives. We are under a take over by a Communist. My only question now is.... will they succeed?

Some of them are inexpensive and housing is very affordable. If you weren’t financially secure you could always sell your home here, rent a house there if it becomes intolerable. The Cubans left with just the shirt on their back. It was that intolerable. They risked their lives on the open Atlantic to flee the tyranny. Many of them lost their lives.

No, I’ve thought for months that this is a good thing. Americans do not like socialism, now they get a full taste, not a little here and a little there.

Your post made me cry! Our youth have no sense of this history. I have bought my children alot of books about the United States History. One which was recommended to me was, “American History Storeis You Never Read in School but Should Have” by Mara Pratt. It is a reprint of an 1889 school textbook that she found at a church book sale for $2.50. I just got it and have only read the introduction but now I plan on reading it this week. Quote from the introduction “Near the front door was a small sign that read, Rare Books. Pushed between two large books was one entitled simply:American History Stories. I chuckled under my breath, American History wasnt’t rare. I had many books on American History.....As I began to read the beautiful histories, tears filled my eyes. I had studied history from elementary school to the university but I had never read stories such as these. The morning sun found me finishing the last chapter. For the first time in my life I understood the glory that was America....”

That still makes me furious! They should all be thrown out and put in jail. How in the hell can the leaders of our government vote on anything that they have not read? They should be required to read it and understand everything in it. It’s like you signing a long contract and never reading it. Mind boggling!!
I haven’t had time to review all the previous posts but one thing that strikes me with this bill is the near-total disconnect between politicians and volunteerism. I know that politicians, especially like Obama, see volunteerism strictly as a tool for their own ascension to power. The event is measured by how it will play in the media, whether enough media will cover it, whether the “victims” look pathetic and grateful enough. It seems to never occur to them that millions of people are volunteering every single day without the slightest desire for publicity or even thanks.
Then the politicians act as if they alone have discovered the true meaning of volunteerism or similar virtues. Remember when Hillary deigned to reveal to us that hotel maids are real live persons? As if that thought had never occurred to us peons awaiting further enlightenment from the anointed. Obama is much the same way. He seems to assume that everyone lives as selfish and self-centered a life has he has and now he has been called to raise us to a newer height with him. Instead, he’s far behind ninety percent of those he wants to control.

It was clear to me, the first time I heard Obama speak, he came across as a Marxist to the core. I’m 67 years old and sick about what is happening to this country. Damn, Jimmy Carter practically ruined this country in 4 years, not to mention the mess he created in the Middle East. We must resist, in every way possible, the Obama Marxist takeover of our beloved country. People are scared as hell. My wife and I are struggling to hold on to our farm but it looks like Obama is going to make it hard to retain private property, and our basic Bill of Rights.
