Obama Requires YOU to SERVE, H.R.1388, "The Give Act" to reform the National Service Laws

HR 1388, will hit the House floor on Tuesday.It is called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (The Give Act.) The House is scheduled to Rule this week. Sponsored by Democrat Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Education and Labor Committee. The objective is to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.

Democrat Rep. McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, ALL Democrats, including Charlie Rangel. Need I say more.

According to the website, it is up for a vote on Tuesday.

Yes, that is my understanding as well. I wonder when the Budget is expected too? I think this flurry of activity with Bills hitting and the Budget coming up is a strategy of DISTRACTION. The quicker Obama steam rolls through, the easier it is for Obama to hide the TRUTH about what he has proposed and passed. The TRUTH about his Radical agenda

He spent more than 6 long weeks FEAR TALKING and even longer if you count the run up to the Election. He used this FEAR/Crisis dogma he created to PUSH thorough wasteful dangerous legislation.Pure manipulation.

Both the Budget and this Bill deserve attention by Congress.

We will see how much they care about this country.

McCain was too busy reassuring everyone that Obama was really a great guy and would make a “fine President”, it was just ideologue.

He gave every person who was feeling in their gut that Obama was bad, but they wanted to be cool or vote like their friends the freedom to do so without fear. I mean we are supposed to be looking to McCain to protect us, surely he wouldn’t reassure us that Obama was just great if he wasn’t, right?

McCain was the mole in that damn campaign. I have said that too many times to count though and I suppose it’s pointless now.

I have drafted a copy to my Rep. Has anyone sent it to Limbaugh? Hannity, Levin, etc. This is terrible—especially the sections in 6104 which deal with future recommendations to make this MANDATORY. Tho it MAY (haven’t read entire bill) be voluntary now, those sections in 6104 ask the committee to make recommendations for MANDATORY SERVICE for youth!!!!!!!!!

Very interesting. I didn't read the entire thread. I will check it out tomorrow. What happened with this Bill? Did it go through? I will look into it. Very interesting.

I won't be able to bear it if McCain stands with Obama on this one. Seriously. I have no words. I have to pace myself.

Dems did the smartest thing ever by literally taking over the media.

I know you have seen my posts before about doing peaceful protests not at gov steps, but at media HQs (Simultaniously around the country at local affiliates)...Protest left media slant at NBC one day, invite ABC, CBS, CNN, et.al. Tell them we are protesting NBC's slant. They will come like moths to a flame to feed off of NBC's misery.

But we do a two-fer...We protest Zer0 and the administration at the same time...too late...they are there feeding off of NBC's protest.

Wait a week, and do the same thing with the next network, then the next. They will catch on, put we'll get some time in there before hand.

Until that all important RUSH issue is resolved, how can we expect anyone to pay attention to such minor issues as the budget or this bill? I know I stay awake at night worrying about the influence Rush has over this nation. /s
