HR 1388, will hit the House floor on Tuesday. It is called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (The Give Act.) The House is scheduled to Rule this week. Sponsored by Democrat Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Education and Labor Committee. The objective is to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.
Democrat Rep. McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, ALL Democrats, including Charlie Rangel. Need I say more.
I made the decision long ago that I had rather die as a free man than live as a governmental slave.
BIG TIME PRAYER needed here...
If we are not outnumbered, then why is obama president?
This is part of the Obama movie I just watched.
Thanks for the ping!
You betcha this is important for everyone. I will NEVER submit to mandatory volunteerism.
Please add me to your “ping” list. I grew up in post war Germany. I saw and heard what Hitler did.
Never again.
I’m still little more than a 3rd through it.
Thanks.
Please add me...
Bumping the phone number...
BUMP
Please add me to your ping list.
Thank you, MOgirl
Explain to me why the media is so determined to butt into the Palins’ personal lives when they could be - and should be - reporting this?
I know I have posted this several times on past threads. It has always been the most frightening snippet about Obama I have ever read. The speaker, Robin L West worked with Obama on the Harvard Law Review. Georgetown Law - Full time Faculty
=============================
Obama kept Law Review balanced - Politico.com Print View
.......Obama "clearly agreed with me at the time that a shift in constitutional thinking from a rights-based discourse to one that centered [on] responsibility and duties ... would be a good thing," West told Politico. "Partly because of those conversations, I don't find it surprising at all that Sen. Obama's speeches are often marked by calls to spark a sense of responsibility, rather than a sense of grievance......"
(Excerpt)
===========================
IOW, obama believes duty to government is primary. Individual rights, what this country was founded on, finishes second.
Get the right judges on SCOTUS and the Constitution can mean anything they want it to mean.
It is not a good thing no matter how one looks at it. I have never understood why that quote never got any traction.

This same bill by the same name was defeated by ONE vote last year on March 13th.
The Generations Invigorating Volunteering and Education (GIVE) Act, H.R. 5563, would have authorized AmeriCorps which provides volunteers and grants to charities, religious organizations, and government agencies to expand from 75,000 participants to 100,000 over five year
This year it passed.
“If we are not outnumbered, then why is obama president?”
Oh, C’mon, do you really think everyone who voted for 0bama knew what they were getting?
They did not understand the implications.
I can almost feel the disillusionment setting in.
Americans are MISSING INFORMATION. They are already much wiser than before the election—look at the polls, if you’re into that sort of thing.
They are learning. They have never had to consider their freedom—let alone recognize a threat to it.
They will piece it together and come out the other side pissed-off with blood in their eyes, trust me.
We’ve been lulled into a daze what with the decades long assault from the power mongers.
Freedom is a deep-down thing—you won’t take it from Americans without killing millions of us first.
Maybe that is there plan, I don’t know.
But they will have to kill me and many people I know before we will lay down before them.
Wake up, it’s time to fight, Americans!
Oh, but let's not forget voter fraud and illegal foreign financing which might have helped out a bit too.
There are many, many of us out there, my friend. Let's wake them up. We have hope.
Please add me to this ping list as well.
I'm in....I'm form the old school, better dead than red. I may go down but it will be with a few notches carved in.
Does this mean liberals can continue to sign up to volunteer for ACORN?
