The budget deficit is expected to be more than $9 billion by the summer of 2010. State lawmakers are also talking about raising gasoline taxes to pay for road and bridge construction. Fees on driver's licenses and license plate stickers may also go up. In addition, some business tax

State income taxes going up 50% just in time for Obama's new budget that eliminates state and local taxes as deductible items on your federal tax return. Effectively, you pay your state & local taxes PLUS your top marginal rate on the amount of those taxes.

I moved from Illinois to Idaho and even with Illinois income tax going up 50%, it’s still half of what it is here in Idaho.
Of course, my real estate taxes are 1/5 of what they are in Illinois. I pay $1600 here, my boss in Illinois pays $11,000.

Why is it that the FIRST response to budget deficits is to raise taxes? What the hell happened to CUTTING COSTS and REDUCING EXPENDITURES????
These LibTards need to be schooled in basic economics and Constitutional law (as written, not the LibTard interpretive method).
It’s time to take back the country.

The sad thing is that when the taxes in these blue states get so high, the libs move to the red states. Then, suddenly, the red state becomes blue (See Colorado, Nevada, North Carolina, Virginia, etc).

Good grief...I won’t complain about my $500 property tax here in Colorado again.

We don’t have State Income Tax here in Washington, but my property tax jumps up April 1st by $117 a month which pretty much erases any Obama Tax break.
I DID THE MATH.
My bi-weekly federal withholding LAST PAYDAY 246.54 THIS PAYDAY after the tax cut 215.77
Extra on my bi-weekly paycheck + $ 30.77 or 61.54 a Month
But I just got a letter that my Escrow is increasing $117 a months beginning April 1st due to local tax increases.
MY NET LOSS each month $55.46. Thats Right, this middle class well below 250K worker, in fact below 100K, WILL BE PAYING MORE TAXES.

Everyone knows you can tax your way to prosperity.
There will be business lined up to get into Illinois after this move.

We have no state income tax here in Tx. but I pay $3000/yr. on my modest 1500sq. ft. home. 2/3rds of that in school taxes.

I moved from CA to Idaho. My income taxes dropped and property taxes went up. In the last couple years, the state caught up with realistic housing prices vs homeowner's exemptions. My annual property taxes dropped from $3300 to around $2,000. Compared to CA, I'm way ahead on taxes, gun rights, less traffic. I'm a bit behind on quality of health care services.

These LibTards need to be schooled in basic economics and Constitutional law
First off, the constitution was not written by socialists. Therefore, they won't let the constitution get in the way of their plans; furthermore, part of their plans are to re-write the constitution to their liking.
Then, the "libtards" understand quite well the economics of lowering taxes to grow the economy. But to them, it's not about growing the economy or lowering taxes on the people; to them, it's about controlling the people. And what better way than by lowering the people's living standards and making them dependent on government?
