Obama clearly has a new watch and is fascinated with it, Gordon Brown revealed last night.
Following his first meeting with the new president Mr Brown said Britain and the United States must work together to create a new age of global stability where everyone can have a watch as nice as that.
The prime minister added: "I was making some very insightful points about Fred Goodwin's pension, but he just kept looking at that watch and I'm thinking, 'gosh, it must be a really good one'.

Yeah, I realized that after I'd read the entire article, but of course, I posted before reading the whole thing. ;o)
Franklly, though, it does sound like something That One would do. After all HIS time is more important than that of any other person, you understand.
I can’t believe it took someone so long to notice.
Satire is now extinct. It has become reality on 1/20/09.
Bama has already demonstrated he is not 'our'. And Bama also exposed he has NO clue what to say unless somebody writes it for him first. Probably good thing he had a watch face to keep checking. Nothing like having an audience and no prompter rolling out words, words, words.
A Bama economy is not only going to redistribute our wealth but all those that are members of the G-7!!
And another thing wasn't Bama the biggest of big hits from the majority of peoples of our historically greatest friend? Didn't the majority hate Bush with a purple passion? So let them eat cake for a couple of days at least.
Obama has a new watch but it is set to 1931.
(Either that or it is set to Russia circa 1917).
Well, obviously Obummer needed to get back to the anti-Rush strategy meetings.
No, Gordo, it was a micro-teleprompter, telling him what to say to you.
Strange, as Soerto is noted for being 45 minutes plus late to every meeting.
On recommendation from Michael Vick.
Dear Mr. Brown;
You’re clearly a perceptive chap ... you’ve figured out the Zero is a wanker in one short meeting. The (anti)American press, even after months of coverage, is still unclear on the concept.
Sincerely,
A. Bustard
PS: I doubt Barry Hussein has the wit to realise that you’ve insulted him.
yay for satire! Is the Daily Mash UK’s version of our The Onion? :-P
I think it was satire, but I think it also is showing how insulted the Brits are by how the Obama’s treated them this week.
Time to shoot hoops.
Please, these satire pieces just have to be more clearly marked. My blood pressure can barely hold it’s own with the real goings on, if ersatz stories such as this are added to the mix, I’m headed for a major cardiac event!
Just wait until the king of Kenya visits. The 0bammys will really throw a party
Actually, it’s his new Ovaltine Secret Decorder Watch but he can’t figure out the code.
It goes well with his Ovaltine Secret Decoder Ring.
I hope he drinks more Ovaltine; he’s going to need it before his administration is over.
