Hey y'all,
We've been offered a chance to set up a Free Republic table at the Orlando Tea Pary that's being held on March 21. I think it's a fantastic opportunity to spread the word about Free Republic and recruit like-minded people that are local to us.
It would be great to have some kind of banner or sign and maybe cards or some other type of literature to hand out to people. Plus we'll need some volunteers to man the table to talk with people that want more info about what FR is.
Anyone interested in helping get this set up and manned? I'd like to remind everyone that I *might* not be able to attend so someone besides me that can keep things organized at the event in case I'm not able to make it would be great.
By the way, a little bird told me that Kristinn would be joining us at the event.

Janice isn't in the photo. I believe she was in the face of the Arlo Guthrie wanna-be with both barrels blazing!

I just recently recovered these photos - and many more. I had saved them on a CD-ROM and it had gone bad for some odd reason; I finally found a usable back-up.

I will order the banner for the FR table at the event. Can someone mail me directly so I can coordinate where the banner should be shipped to?
I will be at the event but will probably not be able to get there early enough to set up the banner. I am bringing 12 people and have a 3 hour drive to get there.
If you are going to be there early and helping with setup please let me know and I will gladly ship the banner to you directly.
I'll also start the ball rolling with a donation of $25 bucks to Roos toward expenses.
Folks, the expenses will be extremely minimal. She shouldn't have to pay for all this herself. A five or ten from a very few folks will do the trick. Roos will shut it off when she has enough to cover the few expenses. Any kopeks left over will be applied to expenses for the upcoming FR convention in Orlando in April.
Just freepmail Roos_Girl and ask how to get an expense contribution to her.
Our table at the Tea Party will advertise our FR website to the multitudes of folks at the protest rally, probably loads of them potential Freepers.

I’ll keep a running total of the amount of money donated along with Freeper name on my about page.
If MinuteGal is happy donating the cards and surfer is happy donating the banner there really shouldn’t be any other expenses.
We’ll need someone to bring a table, clamps or some other way to attach the banner to the table and everyone manning the table to bring a chair if they want one.
Surfer and MinuteGal need someone who they can send the banner and cards to that is definitely going and can help with set up because they either aren’t going or may be a little late getting there.
To clarify my above post, any small donations will be accepted for unexpected costs in connection with the Tea Party. As stated before, any overage will be applied to the FR regional convention in Orlando in April. Again, contributors names to both events will be posted on my profile page
Hi, MinuteGal is sending the cards to me. My hubby and I plan to be there by 11:00AM on the 21st. Let me know if the set-up group is getting their earlier as we could plan to be there earlier if necessary. :)
