Live thread.
That is as outstanding idea!
FWIW and IMO you’re not a disruptor or wet behind the ears when it comes to politics. Some people just don’t like hearing the truth, rabscuttle385. Others may just be jealous of someone who has a lot of energy. Not me. I’m glad someone does! lol
I agree with you. He did strike the right tone for tonight.
Some of these comments on here make me shake my head at what they expected his speech to do.
Sigh, I’ve made it more than clear than I’m hoping Jindal will run. I would ask you how in your puny mind that translates into Obama support, but you don’t really believe that. You’re intentionally trying to smear, even if you know you have to lie to do it.
Loved that movie...the car and the suit from the costume shop!
ummmm Jindal may have some work to do but Huckabee isn’t gonna cut it.
We loved her here in and around Philly too. The rallies were phenomenal. I didn’t encounter a single Republican who didn’t like her until Christmas dinner.
AND? If you haven’t noticed, it’s the CITIES that elect Democrats
Romney's an excellent orator and communicator - the ONLY Presidential candidate within GOP who had a chance to beat 0bama. BUT, IMO the entire Game was rigged - from the GOP's musical chairs, to 0bama's sudden emergence given his thousands of skeletons in his closet.
So where's that leave the GOP and Conservatives? DIVIDED, but that's exactly the way the Globalists want it.
Jindal lacks gravitas as we saw tonight; Palin is too "conservative" for the GOP; and Romney's conservative bonafides are a question mark.
Yep, and that's why I am now a Giuliani supporter. Is he an SOB? Absolutely, but that's what it takes sometimes.
In a class of how many?
One other thing—who set the stage for his speech?? Walking down a dark quiet hallway. There is a Mardi Gras going on and he has helped bring back an area that was in trouble. There should have been shots out a window of people having a good time. Or at least an audience of Katrina victims giving support to him and his message...
103 — quite small.
I was VERY disappointed in Jindal. This is a time of serious measures. He was too kind and too soft. Why didnt he mention that we’re giving Gaza 900 million bucks, actually paying our enemies.Things like that insanity should have been brought out. Are we going to revolt folks or sit here and CHAT about it?Lot of people are talking but I don’t see any dates yet or locations. Million Man March against Obama anyone?
Oh good grief. Now we’ve got Romney and Giuliani supporters emerging from the woodwork and onto this thread.
After Jindal’s performance on Meet the Press last Sunday, I was very excited about him. Two days ago, he was quick-minded, aggressive & firing on all cylinders. Just eviscerating the stimulus package. He was also honest about how the GOP should never have spent as it did or ignored corruption. Jindal’s voice seemed deeper on MTP. David Gregory couldn’t challenge him & seemed interested in what he had to say.
Tonight, someone worked to alter Jindal’s delivery - trying to make him “light” & hipper, not such a Rhodes Scholar. As a result, he started off squeaky & high pitched, with text from a comedy routine: “I was a pre-existing condition,” (rimshot.)
Obama has a much deeper voice & can get away with making jokes & going light because when he changes back to a serious subject, his voice will snap you right back. Jindal can’t do that. But I believe Jindal wouldn’t have done it this way on his own. I see the ham-handed RNC groping around trying to find the pulse of the 20-something generation. They’re not there yet.
It was the way Jindal talked about his Mom being four months pregnant when his parents arrived in America and how he was born here in this Country. He left no doubt he was an American. He talked about his parents being from another Country and then said Obama’s Father was from another Country. With all the controversy about the BC of ZERO, made me chuckle. Jindal was getting it out there that he was a natural born American!
The cities have elected every president we’ve had since Kennedy, including the Reagan landslide. There aren’t enough votes in rural America to elect anyone without the support of urbanites.
Yup. They wear their Jihadism on their sleeves when it comes to Palin - as if she's embarrassing the GOP??? HELLO!!
