The White House is lashing out publicly and personally at a CNBC reporter whose attack on President Barack Obama’s anti-foreclosure plan caught fire on the Internet on Thursday.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs jumped at the chance to go after the CNBC journalist, Rick Santelli, when a question about his bracing critique was asked at Friday’s news briefing.
“I’ve watched Mr. Santelli on cable the past 24 hours or so. I’m not entirely sure where Mr. Santelli lives or in what house he lives but the American people are struggling every day to meet their mortgages, stay in their jobs, pay their bills, send their kids to school,” Gibbs said. “I think we left a few months ago the adage that if it was good for a derivatives trader that it was good for Main Street. I think the verdict is in on that,” the press secretary said, poking directly at the cable journalist, who reports from the trading floor at the Chicago Board of Trade.
Gibbs insisted Santelli was misinformed when he said Obama’s program would amount to a transfer of money from prudent taxpayers to those who had taken reckless risks.

Ok, how do you remove money “from oversight”?
I live up here in Massachusetts...I am thinking of dressing in Revolutionary War regalia, calling the news stations and showing up at Griffin’s Wharf with a copy of this stimulus bill to dump in Boston Harbor. I am caught up in work right now (on the last day of a sixteen month implementation as I type) but I am going to have some time soon...:)

All Obama stooges and Obama himself Blame everyone else but never the Government in this mess , We all have to pay the price for the meddling in the market of the DAMN GOVERNMENT ,then when the crap hits the fan Its Our fault we have to SACRIFICE ,Endure the PAIN but the frickin Burecrats just get big fat raises ,more Govt. Perks and Continue to erode our Freedoms . I know where all this leads in the end its just a matter of time
What I mean by that is get the money under my control instead of someone else’s control (such as requiring me to take a out a loan to access my own wealth). If you are convinced that high inflation is inevitable in the next 12 - 18 months (as I am) then getting the money out now while interest rates are very low and there is residual momentum left in the mortgage business means that later, if things go nuts, I already have it. The money will sit in CDs at a very safe little regional bank. If we are wrong, no big deal, just use it to payoff the new mortgage loan at some point in the future.
I worked with Mr. Santelli awhile ago. He’s a good guy and is spot on.
And being from Chicago he knows how dirty Obama and other rats here are.
It’s going to be fun when stuff starts hitting the fan about Obama who is Blago’s brother from another mother.
That’s what irks my husband and me. That we pay on time every month and 2 months we cut back on non essentials when something happened that was unexpected financially (both times unexpected non covered emergency dental work went without movies or eating out for a month or so and one time he took a second job because the bill was so high it set us back for awhile).

You know, this is really good for us in 2010. I got a campaign line: The Democrats and Obama have been spending more time attacking Rush Limbaugh and Rick Santelli than addressing the problems that our country is facing.
I will watch Rick more often,now that I know what a patriot he is!
(At least until Obama manages to have him fired from CNBC.)
