TO AFFIRM SOUTH CAROLINA'S SOVEREIGNTY UNDER THE TENTH AMENDMENT TO THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION OVER ALL POWERS NOT ENUMERATED AND GRANTED TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BY THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.

I understand what you're saying, and I consider the proposing of these resolutions to be a good sign, but the federal government is acting in destructive ways at a very fast pace. That means the States, and the People thereof, must move at least as fast. Now that these resolutions have been proposed, it's time to start passing them and then act on them.
Oklahoma’s House of Representatives passed a sovereignty resolution, but not its Senate. It’s great that a State legislative house passed a sovereignty resolution. The next step is to get a State a sovereignty resolution into law and enforce it.
Understood. I’m sorry if I added to your frustration, and I’m sorry if my post added to the problem as well by making it seem as if you hadn’t been within your rights to stick up for yourself! And you’re correct - it wasn’t pretty at all... Dang trolls. Glad Jim zotted the obvious Obamabot pretty quickly.
Fixed my typo.
“Notice, it’s the people that define the authority of the United States of America - Not the States.”
The people in each state elect fellow citizens (i.e., fellow citizens of that state) to represent their interests in both the state legislature and in Washinbton. Those representatives — or agents, if you will — act for the people who elected them. Thus, if a state legislature, as the legal representatives of their fellow citizens’ interests, enacts a certain piece of legislation, it is acting for its fellow citizens. If, for example, that legislature votes to secede, it is acting as agent for the citizens of that state to do just that. So, you see, the people ARE speaking, but through their duly elected representatives.
“I really want to know, and while everyone is chatting about this, no-one is explaining the logic behind it, and what it really means.”
The Founding Fathers always intended for the federal government to be liited in its power, and the 10th Amendment was put there (as part of the Bill of Rights) to remind the federal governmen tof just that fact, and that any powers not specifically given to the federal govenment by the states and by the people are reserved for the states and the people. Abraham Lincoln vigorously opposed that, as he was greatly influenced by Henry Clay, who was the premier champion of a strong and dominant federal government.
I wish my state of Fl would do this too but sadly we have had a large influx of nrothern liberals
saying that hopefully north FL where I am can split form south FL
I’m in north east FL and have the stars and bars flying here along with the battle flag sticker on the cars .
I am not alone either as many around here do.
Also pisses of those liberals who come to St Augustine visiting
went to the reenactment at Olustee this weekend and was singing to bonnie blue
yes and we have an idiot right now who likes that other idiot back then
maybe history is repeating
please please please
let the north east go and the south plus the midwest and AK can join up
got the stars and bars flying and the battle flag sticker on the cars and many around here in north east FL have
Good. Some suprises in that list.
I hear you and I am ready
let him get an army to invade again like his hero did.
history repeats itself many times
Lincoln use the slavery issue way after a year into the war to stop France and Britain joining us.
He knew that the two would never join because he now made this an issue.
course his proclamation was a political move and at the start he had no desire to free slaves.
we don’t have that , you’re right and yes the south , midwest and AK would easily go it with out the north east and IL.
all those northern liberals can get the hell out of my state, FL too and let them live in their liberal utopia back up north
it’s volunteer time again
treason , traitors you say
we’re those in the revolution traitors too?
You see many thought so at that time as did the UK.
I frankly don’t care what name is called I am fed up of DC and liberals especially northern liberals coming down here to FL and telling me what I should say not say, what laws I should have, what flags I should not fly etc
screw them
is this snarkey for real?
now he says those in the south were traitors, and cowards and he is Gods side.
ARF
Both sides had heroes, cowards and brave men and women to think like snarkey just shows ignorance and narrow mindedness.
maybe when he comes down here in north east FL he will get pissed off seeing the battle flag on my car or the stars and bars flying in the garden and good for him .
I love seeing liberal faces when they see it
