Blue Print for the Coming GOP Revolution--New media must be a central pillar....

New media must be a central pillar in the victory strategy!

Yesterday I asked whether conservatives have finally come to their census and gotten over the initial daze of defeat from last November? With our party speaking in a united voice of principled opposition to the liberal coup represented by the stimulus bill, likely manipulation of the census and looming re-emergence of the fairness doctrine we know we must fight hard to survive and ultimately regain power as the American voter realizes what a sham Obama’s promises of hope and change really are (see Obama’s seven broken promises in the stimulus bill).

Our GOP leaders in Congress have shown they have the right message by opposing big government boondoggles while offering common sense alternatives. The question is: do we have the right blueprint to translate that program into electoral victory in 2010 and 2012?

In 2006 we lost the House and Senate and we sat by in 2008 and watched again as the largest well funded political juggernaut of the 21st century swept away decades of GOP grass roots development. Are we prepared now to meet that challenge or will we fall back on the business as usual strategies which may have worked 20 years ago but failed utterly in the last two elections?

I’d like to think we have learned our lesson and I am encouraged by new GOP Chairman Michael Steele’s efforts to invite new ideas for reaching voters and widening their participation; especially through the use of the same new media that Obama and friends used so effectively.

The Reagan revolution was fueled by new technology in direct mail fundraising.

It’s like Lucy and Charlie Brown and the football. She’ll definitely let him kick it next time!

And next time, Alan Keyes is gonna win! You betcha!

So do they really need to jump on the Palin train too?

“Palin Supports McCain's Plan for Amnesty for ILLEGALS”

Darn another option in the sewer.

/Oh Thanks

Sorry. Wished I could help.

Sad part is it is pretty common today.

People have such a warped sense of reality. Blame it on TV, Public Schools, Hollywood, or whatever. It is a byproduct of economic prosperity.

When honesty and morality leave a nation, it is dead.

He can’t stop people from just circulating files and MP3’s around, and they would have to drop all pretense and engage in overt, naked censorship to block access to overseas servers. Even then, people with a little know-how could get around them.

Zero and his handlers will do what they will do. Now.
Steele asked what new ideas could be used to regain not only the majority but the trust of the majority of American voters.
It is simple. Let us not get complicated. Do what was done during the hight of the conservative movement, under Ronny.
Be totally honest with America. Don't waiver on sound principles well developed that proved to be an effective producer of a sound economy, and a strong military with yet compassion for those that still needed to be helped to bootstrap them to a level they to could enjoy the joy of honest work and the dream of having their children receive solid educations, and the potential to be home owners through long time employement.
All the things deeply encrusted into the conservative movement and ideals work given honest brokers. The only remaining things most often lacking is the will to produce the required form of salesmenship. This is what we lack.
Off course the tide is hard to push against when huge numbers of people ill educated and informed at best continue to fall easy pray to the Demowits and their associates.
Neighborhood organizers, and the like.
I work with say a hundred very stupid ill informed people. Almost every one of them thinks the demorats are on their side. They have not a clue as to why the demorats are on their side.
The Republican party must become well versed at speaking out to all the shit the far left commie/socialist/anti-military groups/liberals with no specific foot print etc., in such a form as to catch the ears of these tens of millions or morons.
They are morons often by design. They have no access due to so many reasons, to see any alternatives. I speak to many people all day long at work, associates, customers, who after hearing me out thank me. Some say they will follow through in some of the web sites I write down for them, some say they see what I am communicating to them whether it be regarding global warming horseshit, or how the banking system went caput, etc..
It is essential for the Republican Party to start becoming marketing and salesmen savy. They must find means of forcing the L/MSM to allow them airtime. Period.
People when given alternative trains of thoughts often can respond. Let us consider how the Iraqi Shiite, Sunni, and other sects, and religions are now embracing a whole new form of democracy. It is almost like what must be done in Iraq must be down yet again in America and Europe.

Yeah, the Republicans will whisper in your ear, gather you all up, and deliver you to the enemy once again.

I agree. Where are the Republicans? Why aren't they on tv screaming about these Marxists things the dems are doing? Why did they vote on a bill they never read? I don't trust any of them on either side. All they care about is money and power over the people. There are no Ronald Reagans left except Sarah. That's why they fear her.

There are two Free Republic Groups on Facebook, and it’s quite a gathering place for many conservatives. I wouldn’t dismiss it so quickly.

Now, MySpace is a different thing... :-)

This is playing right into the liberal’s hands. Do you all not remember Ross Perot? Ross Perot is how we got Clinton.

Look people, The Republican Party is absolutely not perfect, but unless you end up with a very small political party, there is not one that is going to meet all your individual criteria.

Rather than running off and creating your own, little, losing party, why not work to make the one we already have better and stronger. Then, maybe we will have a hope of beating the monster we have to beat. That fight if we are at our best may be like David and Goliath.

It seems to me we should be adding our stones to David, rather than making the fight a piece of cake for Goliath.

I don’t think this is true.

I will research, but I remember her saying differently when I heard her on Rush.

The GOP is now little more than one leg of the socialist "monster." Why would I want to make it "better" or "stronger"?

(inserting nose here) Good for you. Don't stop as long as you're allowed. Other than Jesus, you could be that little girl's salvation (so to speak). You can never tell how much influence a grandparent can have on a child. Just think of what it would be like if you didn't! (removing nose here)

"It’s like Lucy and Charlie Brown and the football."

I share your mistrust. It tool a LOT of complacency from so-called Republicans to regress from Reagan to our current sad state.

Why did they vote on a bill they never read?

The Republicans, with the exception of three RINO Senators, voted AGAINST the bill, mainly because they were not allowed the time to read it before the vote. Your question is more pertinent to the Democrats who voted FOR the bill, without having ever read it.
