"When somebody is home, the lights on, the TV on, when they break in your house, you don't feel safe anymore."
Locks are meant to keep honest people honest, and to provide time to employ more effective ahem, "countermeasures" in response to their lapses in judgment.

And the difference of these guys breaking through the front door to steal your TV and Obama and the rats breaking into your paycheck to steal your earnings?

Too bad for the guy who tries that at our house. He’s have so many German Shephards on him he’d look like he was wearing a fur coat.Right after that, the shooting would start...

A couple of things. Second mistake was watching TV where people outside the house could see it. Of course the first mistake was not being able to protect your property.
I haven't paid attention to Geo Trackers for a while but could you get four people and a fifty inch TV in one? I guess that they did but wouldn't it be crowded?

This reminds me that in reality “Rights” do not exist. They are only ideals or notions that we agree to, that is you respect my stuff and I'll respect your stuff, we all agree to do so because it is the right thing to do.
Those who broke into the house were not stopped by their respect for the rights of the owners. They did not give a hot damn about the rights of those in the house.
Because they refused to respect the rights of others they need to be dealt with in the cold reality of their own terms, they too have no right to live, because in cold reality there is no rights. They need to be exterminated on the spot. Then we can get back in our make believe world of respecting each others rights.

The best defense is a large dog and a gun that is loaded.
Problem is, Obama and his administration side with criminals. Get your means of defense soon.

"I'm glad they didn't have a gun and shot my husband," she said.Yeah, going unarmed after a car full of house invaders is very impressive to the wife, but damn stupid.
Most house deadbolts are impressive looking, but the 3/4" screws that attach them to a 3/4" piece of molding aren't. Those suckers have to be screwed into the framing, and even then, they won't hold out an invasion group very long. Just long enough to grab your favorite noise maker.

"I had the deadbolt on," she said. "I can't believe they could smash right through." With the economy going south I predict booming business in "home invasion-proofing" one's house. This won't negate the need to own proper firepower should they get inside but making thieves work a little harder to break into a home will give the homeowner more time to arm himself and take up a defensive position.

This happened near the criminal free environment of Chicago and South Bend, Indiana. This family needs to be robbed several times because they sound like Obama supporters and gun control advocates. Diverse criminals know stupid when they see it.
