U.S. Senate Republicans are not planning to try and use procedural maneuvers to delay passage of a proposed $789 billion economic stimulus bill, the party's leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, said on Wednesday.
McConnell said there was a widespread feeling in the minority party that they "ought to vote and move on." He spoke after congressional negotiators said they had reached a deal on the massive package of spending and tax cuts to try and rescue the flailing economy.

Vote out all of these bums.,p>That's what it takes.
Vote Conservative, not party.
Common sense wins out every time.
Political affiliation just delays common sense directive every time.

They should “just vote and move on” to what? More bills to further destroy America? What’s the hurry? It’s not like they have any control over what comes their way. Why not fight to the death (figurativley) the one in front of them?

I say again, I think Steele is the one who should exert leverage. He controls the funds. He could cut them all off from RNC help at election time. McConnell can't do that, all he can do is take caucus votes.
Notice how the donks never do anything in public. It's hidden at the politburo, the DNC.

The next one is only months away....you’ll be safe with the “or less” part of your bet.

Howdy everyone! Just have a minute. Im in between flights at the Dallas airport. Looks like we need to continue calling and emailing. Need to contact all senators, especially McConnell. This is unacceptable. If our elected Republican representatives are not going to fight for our freedom, then what the hell good are they? Let them have it right between the eyes!!

I’ve just about had it with republicans. They had control of the house, senate and presidency for 6 years, and what did they accomplish? Basically nothing. It’s been the most squandered opportunity in history. Now Zero is going full steam ahead. Gotta hand it to democrats, they know how to get things done. Too bad they’re all the wrong things.

Oh... wait a sec...That works against the Constitution destroying promotion focus from the White House so it is NOT allowed presently.

McConnell said there was a widespread feeling in the minority party that they "ought to vote and move on."
Sometimes it sucks being the minority party.
But, by squandering their leadership, the GOP worked nearly a decade at becoming it --- again.
They do seem to relish being the minority more than being the majority.

Been doing just that for about a year now, mostly to prevent sending ANY tax into state or fed. coffers. Also, can't afford to many of those big ticket items, and even if we can, we are not going to but save instead. We are mostly limiting all taxable purchasing unless absolutely necessary! If there is another way, we don't use taxable items.

Yes, in all honesty it should be Steele. I sure hope he does. Specter would never had won if the RNC hadn't backed him over his contender. And Snow and the other one up there should have been tossed long ago. Problem is getting conservatives elected in the NE. There is practically a blackout of their messages and campaigns there. In some places it is a blackout.

Scene from the book that did not make it into the movie shows a woman complaining to the sheriff that she’s afraid in the future her daughter won’t be able to get an abortion, and sheriff tells her not to worry, daughter will be able to get an abortion and also put her to sleep.

Where are you getting the money? Are you printing it or borrowing it? I dont remember who asked the question. “”
I remember — it was Lindsay Graham who asked the question and after Geithner gave his lame reply, Graham said, “In other words, you don’t have a clue.” Priceless but then I’m always cautious in listening to Graham’s words.
To: Thank You Rush
solution...do not donate to national political organizations that support RINOs in their reelection bids. Make a direct contribution to a candidate you support, volunteer for their campaign. The Rep machine can be overcome at the grassroots level. Let Steele know in no uncertain terms that you will no longer accept or support the sub-par candidates that the party has offered in the past.

"vote and move on" We can't move on dipsh*t! We're stuck with the bill! The mountains of debt, the higher taxes, the prolonged recession, etc. Stand and fight for something! This isn't just another bill, this is a free-market killer, a socialist Pandora's Box! Fight!!!!

“The American people gave Obama the job by a pretty comfortable margin, they elected 58 Democrats to the Senate and a clear majority to the House.
They have their say once every 2 years, this is what they said they wanted.
Any polls against the this or that stimulus are bogus. The poll that counted was last Nov 4th.”
Yes virginia
Elections have consequences.
