Well now, that certainly didn't take all that long, did it? Nearing the end of yesterdays program we got word that Nancy Killefer was out.
I thought that maybe she was being tossed to the wolves by Obama as a sacrificial lamb to give them something to chew on. Not so. She was a domino .. not a lamb .. and the next to fall was none other than the man with the Sally Jesse Rafael glasses, Tom Terrific himself, former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. Lordy, what a shame.
Then later in the day we find out even more about Daschle ... OMG, he flew on private jets! In case you don't know flying on a private jet is a political and economic crime of the first order ... unless you're a jock or an entertainer.
Now the Democrats are really concerned about one big prize -- their baby - nationalized healthcare. Ted Kennedy was supposed to be a leader in Congress for universal healthcare - with Daschle working right alongside. Kennedy is ill .. and Daschle is going to have to go back to earning about three big ones a year as a lobbyist who really isn't a lobbyist. Now who is going to run the socialized medicine show?
Oh and I love this .. immediately after Daschle withdrew his nomination, we had major news networks like MSNBC suggesting that Americans are going to blame the Republicans for "taking down" Tom Daschle.

Oh yeah, that's right. It's those evil Republicans behind this whole thing. Karl Rove was orchestrating the entire scenario from a bunker deep under the mountains of West Virginia. In the world of liberal politics a liberal is never responsible for his own actions or, in Daschle's case, political demise.
A question from a listener yesterday. Now that he's not going to be the HHS Secretary, does he get his $140,000 back? How must Daschle feel? He paid those back taxes for nothing!
Oh, how I wish we could proudly say that we were 100% behind it instead of maybe 75%....
Nah nah nah nah,
Nah nah nah nah,
Hey hey hey,
GOOD BYE!
This is a great moral victory. Its nice to see one of the blowhards we destroyed in Bush’s win in 2004 stay down.
OMG, Sally Jessie Raphael glasses. What a pretentious ass.
Tax Cheat Party bump
It was that damn right wing rag the NY TIMES that did in poor Mr. Daschle...He said after reading the Times editorial he couldn’t possibly serve the Messiah.
The other talking point I’m hearing in the office today is that its par for the course for two or three nominees to withdraw from consideration at the start of a new administration and that isn’t it refreshing that Obama said he screwed up and admits responsibility with the undercurrent being that of course Bush hid and denied etc.
Looks like he has been shopping on the wrong side of the Lenscrafters store.
Harry Potter grows up.
It’s more of a “see ya later” than “good-bye” since these guys never leave for good.
Has he been indicted yet?
You wish. Little snotnosed Tommy will never leave Washington because that’s where the money is. They all go off to DC and never come back.
Kinda like a combination of Toricelli and Mondale...with a toupee.
I’m hoping we don’t ever have to hear Little Tommy Dashole’s name again - ever.
False hope.
Herpes Daschle shall return once his "mistake" clears the collective conscience of the sheeple.
And here's a thought. Upon conviction all tax evaders should be sent to al-Capone's prison on al-Catraz along with the detainees at Gitmo.
“He paid those back taxes for nothing!”.....
He must feel like the one legged man in the ass kicking contest!....
This also shows how poorly SD voters fare in their analysis of their politicians. What’s the latest on Senator Johnson’s health?
