There are almost 5000 ballots that are put back in play as a result. Coleman may still have a chance.

Why weren’t those absentee ballots being counted?

Is there any reason to believe those ballots might help Coleman? (i.e., they’re from parts of the state Coleman won, not all from Minneapolis)

Are these 4800 ballots under lock-and-key in one place, or are they still scattered around various polling districts? If they are not already centralized, expect many more to be “found” by the Franken team.

There was initially a pile of absentee ballots that did not get counted both due to errors from the vote counters as well as technical errors by the voter.

Franken had been behind initially, and then demanded some of the uncounted absentees from liberal areas be counted. As soon as he pulled ahead, he demanded that no further absentees be counted and tried to get himself sworn in immediately.

What are the odds that Coleman is the winner, everyone knows he is the winner and the powers that be are dragging it out until after the stimulus vote?

It’s my understanding that the uncounted absentee ballots tend to come from the rural, more Republican counties. In other words, they held to stricter rules in rejecting ballots. Whereas Hennepin and Ramsay counties (Minneapolis and St. Paul) were much applied much looser standards in accepting ballots. This should benefit Coleman.

Franken not wanting them counted is a good sign...I guess.

YIPPEEEE!
I hope Coleman wins.
This has been exhausting to follow, hopefully there will be a resolution soon in Colemans favor.

So then, that would seem to portend that those absentee ballots which were not counted are coming from districts which tend to lean Coleman's way. Am I understanding this correctly?

"(i.e., they’re from parts of the state Coleman won, not all from Minneapolis)"

If you'll remember, Coleman actually picked up manual recount votes in Minneapolis-Hennepin.

Franken is such a typical “liberal” Dimocrap. Lying, cheating, unethical, hypocritical, devious.

He really is one of the absolutely most vile and loathsome people in American politics if not worse.
