Hamas must somehow be brought into the Middle East peace process because the policy of isolating Gaza in the quest for a settlement will not work, Tony Blair has told The Times.
The former prime minister implicitly criticises the strategy followed by the Bush Administration and Israel of focusing all peace and reconstruction efforts on the West Bank. It was half of what we needed, he said.

“However, he repeated the Quartet position that there can be no talks, official or unofficial, with Hamas until they renounce violence and recognise Israel.”
So, how is that different than the Bush Administration policy.

JERUSALEM Accusing the Jewish state of “genocide,” an anti-Israel Palestinian activist once commended by President Obama has predicted the end of Israel, which, he boasted, is “within reach, in our lifetimes.”
In a piece earlier this month titled, “Why Israel won’t survive,” Ali Abunimah, co-founder of Electronic Intifada, a pro-Palestinian online publication, accused Israel of war crimes and gloated, “Now, the other pillar of Israeli power Western support and complicity is starting to crack. We must do all we can to push it over.”
“It is Israel as a Zionist state, not Palestine or the Palestinian people, that cannot survive this attempted genocide. Its problem is legitimacy, or rather a profound and irreversible lack of it,” wrote Abunimah.

They are and the IDF should continue to take them apart piece by piece.
focusing all peace and reconstruction efforts on the West Bank.
Well, if someone wants to reconstruct their bodies after the IDF has blown them to pieces, that's their business.
Hey Tony, Hamas says no. Now go convert Osama. You’ll have a better shot.
Of course Hamas must be brought into the peace process... All they have to do is stop firing rockets and mortar shells into Israel, and stop their terrorist attacks. Then there would be peace. Simple...

Good point, just looked up the charter. Very interesting. As we all know, they do not want to talk and make deals, they want Israel, plain and simple. Link is below.
“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.” (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).
“The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. “
There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with. As in said in the honourable Hadith:

The only way that Hamas could be usefully brought into any “peace process”, would be to bring a number of their most influential members, at room temperature and in plain wooden boxes, in for a show-and-tell as to what NOT being peaceful brings.
...implicitly criticises the strategy followed by the Bush Administration and Israel of focusing all peace and reconstruction efforts on the West Bank. Here's an explicit criticism of Blair. [a few minutes go by] Oh, the cuss filter wouldn't let me post it.
Just remember when you invite them to the accord to pat them down for homi-suicide vests.
Keep in mind this is coming from the same man who has stated he reads the Qur’an regularly and has asked Obama to unite the world.
Would somebody please explain to Tony that, if Hamas is involved, it's no longer a "peace process".
I'm sorry. But people who pray for the extermination of another group of people -- and practice what they preach -- are automatically excluded from a "peace process".
Instead, it would probably be a good idea to exterminate them...
I agree. Bring them in, line them up, and shoot them.
Ohh! Fantasy proclamation day...here's mine:
Money must grow on trees!

You got voted out, shut up!!!
I'm with you all the way and to be fair many Freepers have seen the light on Blair. But many just didn't know of his domestic policies. He fragmented the UK and it's eventual break up may well be his lasting legacy. That and turning our police force into PC pussies.
This great country is in a critical mess on several fronts.
There is nothing written in the stars to say we have the right to survive forever. Other great civilizations have fallen to dust. Ours might fall prostrate to Mecca unless we wake up.
Great to hear from you keep Freepin’!
Read the IRA charter - they got brought into a peace process.
“I think even if Israel were to disappear tomorrow, Hamas and its supporters would still be fomenting hatred and terrorism against Europe and the US.”
That’s the problem when you get a taste for conflict.
