Obama celebrates spending binge with cocktails and wagyu steak (over $100 a pound elitist chow)

Can the Obama administration be anymore tone deaf? After pushing his $1.1 trillion Generational Theft Act of 2009 through the House last night, the White House apparently decided to throw itself a swank cocktail party. According to ABCs Jake Tapper, the menu included alcoholic beverages (vodka martinis are an Obama favorite, reportedly) and wagyu steak.
Yeah, wagyu steak. $100 per serving delicacy. I had to look it up, too.
On the heels of the most expensive inaugural celebration in American history and passage of a trillion-dollar spending binge that will saddle future generations with unprecedented debt, perhaps President Obama might consider cutting back on such indulgences.
Or is the White House exempt from shared sacrifice, Mr. President?
New era of responsibility?
Not so much.

According to the original article the wagyu steak was not an entre but was served as hors d’oeuvres. It still is wretched excess. Might be OK for a state dinner if hard times were not upon us.

Well, dang. Gotta give them a pass on that one, then. Thanks for the heads up.

Don’t you get it this administration is all about spending the US into oblivion, nothingness....
This is how much rage and contempt they have for America and the fools among us voted him in thinking they were going to get a Nirvana! (An ideal condition of rest, harmony, stability, or joy.
)
The antidote to this is humble and contrite diligence to the Lord!

I kind of thought so but wanted to be sure. The guy has a tin ear. He’s arrogant and in his mind the world revolves around him.

I don't get it. When questioned about Obama working in the Oval Office without his suit coat on, his aide said (paraphrasing) that "he's from Hawaii and he doesn't like to be cold and he's got the thermostat way up."
Then why doesn't he lower the thermostat and don a suit coat again?
I just hate it when I have to ask dumb questions.

As we head for a Depression, will he become another Marie Antoinette, who allegedly opined 'Let them eat cake' as her subjects were starving. We all know what happened to her, and if Obama continues down the road he is on, he could be 'headed' for a similar fate at the hands of irate taxpayers.
I imagine it will end up being dry-throated and starving Democrats who demand their slice of the pie or cake from the GuvMint. In their minds they were promised Mortgage payments and Tanks full of gasoline. The Traditionally Conservatives will have stored up something for tough times. It's gonna be h3ll to pay if "the current president" is not able to keep his campaign promises. His constituents won't wait forever for their handouts. They see the bank bail outs and the various other corporations being bailed out. Won't be too long before they turn on their 'savior' and see him as he is . . . an empty pocket liar.

For that price, I'd be afraid to cook it - 'cause I might leave it on there for too long, and overcook it.
'Cause for a steak that good, it has to be medium rare....

How things have turned around! Used to be black servants cooking for their white masters. Now it is white chefs serving their black mazza. Irony knows no bounds!
