Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh Tuesday, January 27, 2009 By Melanie Hunter-Omar

(CNSNews.com) – The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has launched an online petition for readers to express their outrage at conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh for saying last week that he wanted President Barack Obama to fail.

The petition includes a 19-second sound byte of Limbaugh, saying, “If I wanted Obama to succeed, I’d be happy the Republicans have laid down. I don’t want this to work. So I’m thinking of replying to this guy, say ‘okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.’”

Meanwhile, Obama advised Republicans last Friday to stop listening to Limbaugh if they wanted to get along with Democrats and the administration.

“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” Obama said to Republican leaders who met with the president to talk about the stimulus package.

The Republican National Committee did not return calls requesting comment.

It is incredible how on one hand you want to dismiss Rush as being a negative force in the conservative movement but then on the other hand you lay so much importance on his words and actions in regards to primary politics for conservatives.

You really want to have your cake and eat it too. And of course you want Rush to be responsible for getting it all for you. Unbelievable.

But since I dissed you abit in my last response I will add here that I do think that you make some very good points as well.

We do need to get our own primary right and that is what we should be active about before worrying about the other sides primary.

Nobody said that Rush "has the proof", but with 20+ million listeners he could certainly put pressure on 0bama and focus America on the issue.

Now, does that make it perfectly clear -what- Rush could be doing about this? I didn't think I had to spell it for you.

Explain to us all how the Constitutional requirement that one be a native born citizen BEFORE January 20th is no longer applicable or valid AFTER January 20th?

Is 0bama bigger than the Constitution? When did the Constitution get submitted to the States for an Amendment making it possible for ANYone regardless of birth to serve as POTUS?

Here's a hint: the Constitution is, as it was, despite the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States and all associate Justices (with the exception of Sam Alito) pissing all over it.

Au contraire, I'm not dismissing Rush at all, I recognize that his influence is unlike any other conservative commentator/broadcaster in history bar none. I'm saying that Rush was wrong to tamper in the 'Rat primaries when he could have been expending that effort to promote and support conservative GOP candidates in the Republican primaries.

Exactly. The lamestream media has always been the willing handmaiden of the 'Rats, RINOs and other leftist traitors, and we are reaping that harvest.

If Rush REALLY wanted 0bama to fail, he would have gotten behind a REAL conservative in the GOP primaries of 2008 instead of pontificating while refusing to take a stand.

His so-called ‘Operation Chaos’ did nothing to help conservatives. If he’s not part of the solution, he’s part of the problem.

Spot on!!! He didn't take a strong stand against a flaming socialist by supporting a staunch conservative and this is the result.
