Claiming that Medicare is pure socialism, Larry ODonnell has dared Rush Limbaugh to call for its abolition. I had a very liberal friend tell me that if I thought that Medicare was the first step to universal health care then I should stop using it and start paying my own way. The stupidity of this statement is mind blowing. The government takes my money, has taken my money for future health insurance, changes me each month for the policy and he says, pay but don’t use. Do these people run in packs or is it a symbol of mental illness?
The government should be 1/10th the size it is today

By law you can not buy full health insurance after 65. You are forced to take Medicare. You can buy a suppliment (and AARP would love to have your money) or pay cash. They are you coming and going.
I read a great quote today from a young Czechoslovakian who lived under the System:
"Communism taught us not to dream"
Crap, he is back? I thought he was done for when he went into his rant several years ago.
