A Month in the Life of George W Bush (news and photos): January 2009

We have discussed both on the dose and privately via freepmail as to what we may do in the future of the dose.

It is suggested that a thread is posted where anyone can post photos or news of George W Bush and if you so wish any other member of his administration as to what they are doing or hope to do in the future and the idea is that this thread will cover January 2009 news and photos as well as being a recap of the last few days of the George W Bush Presidency plus events that took place a few hours afterwards in Texas and for the Vice President in Wyoming.

Enjoy the ongoing Sanity Island for January 2009

...but also walks with God!

He is grounded and realistic. His parents taught him well!

Back when he was our Governor here in Austin he tried to run alone, along Town Lake, but that hardly ever worked out.

SS and photogs everywhere. He was a very different man then, exuberant, content, happy.

Watching 9/11 change all that was particularly hard on his Austinite natives: we’d been living daily with his athletic and sucessful vibes and then out of nowhere, utter catastrophe. Even hemophiliac blue-blooded liberals aligned in the bluest city for some time with this honest, sweet, GREEN, sympathetic man.

Their Texan blood had not yet been drained out of them by the MSM.

Here in Austin, where Dan Rather has controlled the liberals for about ten years, McCauliffe and company underwrote the campaign to destroy this good man.

They think they won, but they can read the real historians’ analysis in hell, if reading is allowed there.

Thank you. Gretchen Carlson & Meghan Kelly had both said that his homecoming speech was wonderful, “true Bush”. I've looked, but couldn't find it posted anywhere.

Have you heard what they have been doing since the 20th? Resting?

They were going to the ranch, and I am quite sure that they
have their family around them and are taking it easy.

Laura is going to learn to cook again! LOL! That should be
a trip. She hasn’t had to since before he became governor of Texas.

The speech was nostalgic and just sweet...and yes, pure Bush! Lots of love and appreciation acknowledged.

Bless you for posting this. It is the perfect antidote to the news, pundits and late-nite fools who berate this President. Typing with tears in my eyes...

Why is Vice President Cheney in a wheelchair?

Pulled a muscle in his back while moving boxes...

President Bush, showed so much CLASS, those Demorats can't hold a candle to him. I'm going to miss him terribly. The thing that the Demorats just don't get, is CLASS, because none of them have it. End of story....

I feel like I'm in the middle of a combination sitcom and a bad dream, to think that the wonderful group that was in the White House (and next in line for it) is now gone, and replaced with the Rocky Horror Picture show. At least I'll no longer have to worry about rushing home from work to watch the State of the Union address...

I hope he is ok now. I know how painful that can be. You only need to pull a small muscle. The pain is enormous
