Thank God It's Finally Here
Cake Eater Chronicles ^ | January 19, 2009 | Kathy Nelson

Posted on 01/19/2009 3:37:05 PM PST by EveningStar

And no, I'm not referring to the coming inauguration of the chosen one, but rather the last day of gratuitous Bush bashing.

It's been a long time coming. What started before the man was even sworn in, with the debacle in Florida in 2000, is now finally---yes finally---over.

Or at least it will be when today's final editions hit the newsstands.

Feel free to go to any newspaper website today to witness all the editorial writers getting the vitriol out of their systems. I'm not going to link them here, but they're fairly predictable in what they have to say: worst president ever, worse than Herbert Hoover, everyone hates American now because of him, the Iraq war was wrong, the country is in the financial mess...life sucks and it's all his fault.

The media is going to be tripping all over themselves gushing about The Zero - Bush will be forgotten by midnight tonight ..... or at the latest right after Zero gets sworn in.

>>many people tried to assassinate him (even though the mainstream media never bothered to report on it) <<

When did this happen?
I believe it is true, but when?

“I’m not entirely sure how Bush will be remembered by history.”

What p*sses the MSM off to no end is that he doesn’t give a chit about WHAT they think of him, LOL! He put OUR safety first and foremost. I’m retired Army. I can’t begin to tell you the things that go on behind the scene on a daily basis to keep us safe. You wouldn’t believe the half of it.

History will be kind. 0bama will go down right next to Carter as Worst. President. Ever. The ‘Rats will eat their own. Not this week, but soon thereafter. :)

God Bless You, President Bush! God Bless You VP Cheney! :)

That great philosopher John Blutarsky of Animal House once inquired, "Over? Did you say 'over'?"

I'm afraid it's not over by a long shot! Every time something goes wrong on The Messiah's watch, every expectation that's not met, every promise unfulfilled, will be blamed on President Bush. Just wait...

Oh no. It ain’t over. Michael Savage was still lambasting Bill Clinton daily through at least the summer of 2003, and that was in a media climate where he was an outcast.

BDS is here to stay, especially when things go wrong for Obama. Always blame your predecessor. And the media will be all to happy to be an accomplice.

Fair EveningStar I agree with you whole-heartedly except for the following:

Feel free to go to any newspaper website today to witness all the editorial writers getting the vitriol out of their systems

They will never get the vitriol out of their hateful systems. Look at how quickly the piranhas latched on to Sarah Palin when she entered the scene and all because she chose not to abort her lovely Down's Syndrome child. They said they had reasons, but they were using every excuse in the book. Sarah is and was just a God filled and inspired conservative woman with brains, balls :-), and solid values. So they tried to rip her up, chew her up, and puked on her. Bush has never received such a long break from their hate until Governor Palin came along.

No that hate is just lying in wait.

I do however appreciate your post and agree with it otherwise. Thanks!

Bush is cemented permanently in the liberal psyche. Without Bush, millions of jobs would be lost. How else would that crackpot writer of Doonsbury ever exist? Newspaper editors nationwide are in a cold sweat. They'll have no choice but to recycle every day of Bush's presidency ad nauseum.

In short, Bush is to the MSM as Hitler is to the History Channel. You just can't have one without the other.

Oh yeah and let’s not forget (although if one is not in California they may not being paying much attention) to the hate spewed now at the Mormon and Catholic churches and even Evangelical churches since Proposition 8 passed in California. No. No. No. For us to think the hate these deranged partisans are spouting is person specific is a naive mistake. These people are getting sicker not better. Mark my words. Mark them.

Solution. Turn off the tv. Tune out of the MSM. Drop out of all newspapers. Ignore the Federal government and start kickin som ass. Tune in to Free Republic and live large. These Utopian socialist fantasy morons will be on their knees begging for help in a few months. I would not even be surprised to see the Democrats try to impeach the big fraud they created to save their sorry butts in two years.

The libbies were still spewing hate at Reagan a decade after he took office when I was in college. Basically blaming him for everything. How soon we forget. Thank God the MSM and newspapers are no longer the only place to get news. This is why they are going broke the product they are offering is so poor as it is not trustworthy not in the least intelligent and many people see this and know it is junk—partisan junk that is not in the least entertaining nor intelligent. People would rather brain drain on a honest You Tube production that is what it says it is.

Hate to say it, but over though the ‘gratuitous’ Bush bashing may be, the long-term, ostinato, background noise (the joy and sorrow of having a free media) will soon begin.

“it was Bush’s fault” and “on his watch” will likely and unfortunately be the refrain we hear form our media.

Perhaps Citizen Bush can now start defending himself and his administration's policies.

Sorry, bad joke.

Nixon was their(MSM)punching bag for 40 years...he “may” get to rest now...Bush won’t. Almost anything that goes wrong under “The One”...still Bush’s fault.

Hussein deserves the same level of respect Bush received. Bush is yet an honorable man while Hussein is already demonstrated his willingness to defraud the public with promises he knows he can never keep.

The author is top notch. She may or may not be accurate in predicting the truth in this case, but I enjoy her work.
