Mason school officials said they are taking a proactive educational approach in advance of next week's planned Inauguration Day activities.
"Inappropriate comments that may make other students, staff or families feel unwelcome or uncomfortable in school or on the bus will not be tolerated," Superintendent Kevin Bright said in an e-mail sent to parents Monday, Jan. 12.
The district, he said, expects students and staff to show respect for President-elect Obama and the incoming administration, as well as President Bush and the outgoing administration, and recognize that "while the election is a competitive process, our nation's greatness is displayed when all sides come together for a united country."
Jeff Schlaeger, Mason High School's psychologist, said "inappropriate comments" occurred around election week when doctored pictures of Obama appeared at the school, including "derogatory caricatures" of him dressed like a terrorist and signs that read "Obama '08/Biden '09."

Guessing this maggot superintendent doesn't recognize that his high school students have the RIGHT of Free Speech.
And, while we're on the subject, I suspect that any positive Obamastan speech, etc. makes a conservative wrech!!!
Which goes right back at the superintendent... because I find any and all Obama speak uncomfortable.
Grr...
My warning back to the Superintendent is he can not supersede and First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

President Bush was a different matter, so he could be bashed all they wanted.
Define “inappropriate”. I guess its whatever suits the Obamabots.
Our headmaster has instructed us to “keep things toned down” with the kids.
We happen to believe that political discourse should always remain courteous and civil.
(Incidentally, we were given the same instructions during the Clinton years.)
I don't suppose this guy would react well to the idea that HIS comments "may make" students, staff, and / or families "unwelcome or uncomfortable".
Probably not well at all.
If McCain had won,
and someone posted “McCain 08/Palin 09”,
we’d agree with them.
We don’t need no thought control. No dark sarcasm in the classroom.
Liberals want us to forget there are no restrictions anywhere on trashing Republicans. They think their Liberal God is holy? No way! Profanity is all I have to discuss or describe their Hitler clone. Hey, Liberals, take note, it’s payback time!
Sure. JUST LIKE the last eight years.....
Don’t you love the use of “pro-active” as a code word for political suppression of the totalitarian stripe?
Will we be prohibited from criticizing our dear leader in the privacy of our own homes? Is that the change and hope?
Yes, of course. The Rats don't cotton to criticism.

Were I a parent who received such an unamerican directive, completely ignoring the freedom of speech guarantee in the U.S. Constitution, I would keep my child out of school tomorrow. And I would look into homeschooling my child.
yes, and no. I think many on here might have wished such a scenario came true.
Ok, what if the other side tries to usurp laws and dictate policy by force? What do you do?
Nope. Our nation's greatness is displayed when each individual is free to diverge from the group in as radical and *considerate* a fashion as possible, expressing the blessings of individual liberty in a uniquely American environment - one free of government interference and politically correct brow-beating.
Being "One" is for two groups: Cults, and the Church. And brother, Obama ain't no Church. Just waiting for the mass weddings to start...
