After wrestling with this decision for two years now, I have resigned from the Republican party. The party no longer represents my values and I see no hope for real change in the foreseeable future.
The following letter is being sent to the Republican National Committee along with the California Republican Party by U.S. Mail. If you feel the same way, you are welcome to use this letter, or portions of it, for your own letter of resignation if you wish. Then contact your state Secretary of State's office to change your voter registration.

...”sat on its Big Lazy A double since 1995...”
I’m pretty sure you didn’t chose 1995 by accident, but to be more specific, the problems started when they caved in the 1995 budget battle. The party surrendered and hasn’t lowered the white flag since.
Cute, eh? Looks like the RINO Kool-Aid is still flowing here at FR!
Point well taken and adopted!!!
You DO know that SW has been an elected official in his county? He's done every last thing you suggested and then some, to no avail.
The message was to the first recipient. I was copying SW as I often do.
Lincoln was a corporate lawyer who greased eminent domain deals for barge companies and railroads. The money had to come from somewhere, and it did.

(I imagine many of the passengers applauded the orchestra on the Titanic, as well.)
If it's a marriage, the Republican leadership is steppin out on us. No Thanks!
I won’t be quiet about him either. He is a danger to our nation. He needs to be voted out and I pray he will be in 2010, if that is when he has to run again.
If there are any Republicans out there who know when he runs again, please let me know so I can be supportive of the alternative primary candidate. McCain should not make it to the general election and I’ll do anything politically I can to make sure he is retired.
They think if they just play nice and do everything their partner wants they will be forgiven...
You see a lot of that here on FR. It's amazing to watch sometimes.
I think calling Gov. Goodhair a "republican" is a bit of a stretch, as the only reason he now has an "R" by his name is because he knows you can't get elected to state-wide office in this state as a democrat. He's working hard on importing enough illegals to change that though.
Yes and by 1996 the Bob Dole Republicans pretty well finished things off. Lott of course was cutting deals like no tomorrow too. How did we go from Contract with America to having two Liberal Congresswomen taking over the 1996 Convention? One man GOD rest his soul was warning us about Lott early on. Weyrich was proved right.
I agree! It's the State Parties which set the rules for the primaries. Conservatives need to start becoming active in their local and state chapters NOW! Conservatives can take the party back, but not by being outsiders.
Find out who your state officials are
.
the man is a senator he has a state not a dist and he deserves to be reelected in his seat if he chooses to run again for senate
“We need a conservative Congress. And that has little to do with what letter is by someones name.”
Unless the letter is “D” in which case they suck.
Well I’m not an RNC ‘member’ (like one who’s gives money, I have none) other than my meaningless party registration (It wouldn’t stop me from voting in the rat primary if wanted).
But I don’t renounced my affiliation, there’s nowhere to go. If the GOP isn’t fixed we’ll keep on the path to the USSA.
Gave up my party membership last summer.
Political parties are dead. What is left are 3 ideologies masquerading as political parties; Conservative, Liberal and Marxist.
I think you needed personal attention and to feel important or empowered, uh oh I don't know. But, do what you helped cause and create, try to 'act' by doing some simple work and research and utlize your brain. Did you even type in Conservative Party for your supposed search? If so, you'd have found what I found, which is why I belong to the Texas Conservative Party.
I have reviewed the platforms of both the American Independent Party and the Libertarian Party, as well as the Constitution Party. I find all of them more in line with my views than the Republican Party of today, but none has convinced me to join due to one or more key issues that I disagree with, mainly that of foreign policy.
Ah, a man after my own heart. I felt the same way about my Constitution Party vote in November. But, hey, as I read so many times here on FR concerning McQueeg, "The perfect is the enemy of the good."
Personally, I couldn't see what student monitors in private schools had to do with anything. Oh...wait...that's "prefect."
