In the midst of two wars and an intensifying economic meltdown, Barack Obama had to take time off last week to answer questions from federal prosecutors investigating charges that the governor of Illinois had put the president-elect's former Senate seat up for sale. With his own lawyer by his side, Obama sat down Thursday with U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald's staff to tell what, if anything, he knew about Gov. Rod Blagojevich's efforts to cash in on appointing Obama's Senate successor

Don’t get me wrong Obama is as corrupt as they come but the news days ago had him answering questions from Fitz so how is this anything new?

This seems to be a response born purely of negative emotion as opposed to a more rational analysis.

The guy is on vacation from Christmas to New Year’s in Hawaii. He goes swimming. Are you saying he shouldn’t take his shirt off? The photo was taken by a paparazzi with a telephoto lenses while the man was at a pool on private property. That’s not exactly walking around a business district with your shirt off.

So does a “serious” man go swimming with a shirt on? Or simply never go swimming? Remember that such judgments can cut both ways - was Bush less of a serious man because he wore bike shorts or running shorts?

Now - if it makes you feel a little sick to see this particular man with his shirt off, you can just say that.

This Barry Soetoro guy is without a doubt the worst President-Elect in our nation’s history. The manner and degree to which he has disgraced the Office of the President-Elect is simply abominable, by any reasonable standards. After Soetoro’s corrupt tenure, said office can never command any meaningful level of respect, ever again.

I believe that lots more will come out to the detriment of Jarrett and Rahm Emanuel in this affair. For instance, exactly why would Jarrett whose only experience is as a realtor be the person that Emanuel favored for the senate seat? What has she done other than get Michelle Obama a high paying job at the University of Chicago? And why did Emanuel push for Jarrett and then later have to say that he did so without Obama’s support? Emanuel is a typical, sleezy Chicago machine politician. He succeeded Blago as congressman from the Ill. 5th district and bragged he and Obama both put together the playbook for Blago’s successful run for governor. There’s more to connect Blago and Emanuel and Obama than has come out. Some investigate reporter should look at Jarrett and why she was being pushed for the senate.
