’Tis the season … to be green. No, not even the traditions of Christmas are immune to the efforts of global warming activism.

No, it’s not Al Gore’s, “How Greenhouse Gases Stole Christmas,” but a children’s story is pushing a similar green agenda. The recently published book by Anne Margaret Lewis called “Santa Goes Green” is about a boy who writes Santa and asks him to help raise awareness about global warming so that his adopted polar bear won’t lose its home.

“You see, it’s like this Santa,” the book reads. “I’ve adopted a polar bear named Leopold. He is in danger of losing his home. I’m sure you being in the North Pole you know about the melting glaciers. All I want this year Santa, is to save Leopold and his home.”

The American people have been conditioned to no longer THINK, but merely to WANT.

Next year children’s books will feature a black Santa dressed for Kwanzaa and spreading the wealth around.

Annoying but this comes from a long tradition of using cultural figures for social causes. Like the ones where Santa urged everyone to buy war bonds or fight the Nazis:

At the end, the bear comes to visit the boy and his family, eviscerates and consumes them all, then returns home to seek smarter prey. The End.

Next year, no toys for the “children of European ethnic origin” so that it can be more fair. I’m sure the chil’ren will understand their need to “sacrifice” for world peace or whatever.

Don’t forget page 36 where Santa takes a break from reviewing the naughty and nice list to dutifully pay that special tax on the Reindeers methane emissions.

Maybe this child should learn that POLAR BEARS SWIM. They aren’t in the ocean because their glacier SUDDENLY melted out from under them like a Chilly Willy cartoon.

In a perfect world the book would end with the boy growing older and realizing that global warming, like Santa Clause, is not real.

"How many children bought war bonds?"

Actually, quite a few. I can remember going to the post office to buy a bond with the booklet of stamps I purchased at school. (The program was still in operation after the war. This would have been in the very early Fifties...) The patriotism of the populace was very high during WW II, as you well know. It was still a very good thing to buy the stamps to purchase the bonds, even in the Fifties.

Hows this for a take on the List

Javier Bardem to Jamie Foxx in Collateral explaining how lists work

“”Now, if I am being Santa Claus, and you are Pedro, how do you think jolly old Santa Claus would feel if one day Pedro came into his office and said, ‘I lost the list,’? How f&^%&(g furious do you think he would get? Tell me, Vincent. Tell me what you think.”

Like the modern American sitcom, the plot revolves around a child who has to educate the adults who are dumber than kids.

“...is about a boy who writes Santa and asks him to help raise awareness about global warming”

The REAL Christmas story is about a child alright but this Gaia worshipping message of global climate greeness was not it.
