Levi Johnston's Mother Arrested On Drug Charges

(Wasilla, AK) -- The mother of Levi Johnston, who gained fame as the boyfriend of Bristol Palin, was arrested in Wasilla, Alaska Thursday on six felony drug charges. The "Anchorage Daily News" reports that Sherry Johnston was arrested at her home and charged with manufacturing or delivering drugs, as well as possession.

Johnston is the mother of 18-year-old Levi Johnston, who became the focus of media attention when Governor Sarah Palin announced her teenage daughter was pregnant and he was the father. Levi Johnston sat with the Palin family at the Republican National Convention in September when Sarah Palin accepted her party's nomination for vice president. Bristol Palin's baby boy is reportedly due Saturday.

The 42-year-old Sherry Johnston had apparently been the target of an investigation by Alaska State Troopers for some time, the "Daily News" reports. Troopers didn't release any information about the kinds of drugs involved, saying it might jeopardize an ongoing investigation. Sherry Johnston was freed on five-thousand dollars bond.

Yeah, but how long before the MSM tries to invent some story about linking her son & Bristol to partying with her?? Oh yes, folks, mark my words...it’s coming!

I’m from Alaska and I’ll bet she’s been arrested for growing/distributing pot. IIRC, it was legal to have an ounce of pot in your possession until 1980 or something, and it is sort of part of the culture among some up there (even though it is illegal). The Mat-Su valley is where some of the ‘best’ pot can be found, I’ve been told. It’s called Matanuska Thunderf**k.

I have to agree with other posters and say that this was stupid, irresponsible, and that Sherry Johnston is an embarrassment. We have to hope that despite what is going on with his mother, Levi Johnston is a better man and will be a good father and husband.

As a side note, shouldn’t the left LOVE Sherry Johnston now, though? I mean, aren’t they all about legalizing pot and feeling no guilt or shame for smoking it?

A rat friend of mine has a sister in Alaska. She has claimed that Wasilla is the Coke/meth capital of the state.
____________________________________________________________

Our daughter and son-in-law as well as hubby’s sister and husband all say the same thing. I also have a coworker with family in Anchorage and he’s said the same thing for a long time. My guess is where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Similar to one particular small town here in NM - not much there and considered by most to be the biggest area for meth.

I’m sorry your friend will be rubbing it in for a long time. That bites. And as for the MSM, they’re partying today over this news.

I’m really sorry that Bristol’s dating was not supervised by her parents. There’s alot of wisdom to the old adage of asking “Is he from a good family?”.

Yes, there is. But if your seventeen-year-old daughter meets, falls in love with, and insists on seeing an unsuitable boy, it's pretty hard to keep them apart unless you're willing to bolt her into her room and lock a chastity belt on her. Usually the best parents can do is promise each other that they'll keep an eye on the pair and try to make sure they're not alone too much. It's very difficult and sometimes the young hormones will have their way.

What does not work is complaining that the young man and his family are white trash! That only makes you look like a bad guy and drives the couple closer together.

Ever hear of Jimmy Carter’s brother or Bill Clinton’s brother?

Don’t know where you live but a lot of 16-17 year old girls date. You cannot supervise your children every moment, and there is something called personal responsibility. You raise your kids to do what is right but it doesn’t always happen. As for the good family, give me a break. You don’t know what goes on behind closed doors — no one does. Some kids from ‘good’ families are the ones doing drugs in some areas.

You don’t know about Mena AR but you want constant supervision of a 17-year old?

"Didn’t I hear something about Barry smoking pot and using other drugs?" You're right - Hussein wrote about it in his books.

Notice though, there was no evidence of interference from the Governor's office. Billy Bulger ran interference for his brother for years, even eliminating the job of one State Police lieutenant who was investigating him.

She wasn’t arrested for mere personal possession though. And, it doesn’t matter if possession is legal or otherwise - the charges in this ase include more serious ones.

LOL! People say it is the best. I don’t know, I don’t smoke, never have, never will. Being married to a musician that grew up in hippie communes - you hear all kinds of stories.

Al Gore’s son was arrested for pot smoking. I believe we were told it was a personal family problem and it was hushed up quickly.

Back when I was an "unsuitable boy", my girlfriend's parents sent her to boarding school on another continent. That pretty much did the trick. Hormones could get me over a 20 foot wall and up to a third floor balcony, buy they could not make me fly.
