(Wasilla, AK) -- The mother of Levi Johnston, who gained fame as the boyfriend of Bristol Palin, was arrested in Wasilla, Alaska Thursday on six felony drug charges. The "Anchorage Daily News" reports that Sherry Johnston was arrested at her home and charged with manufacturing or delivering drugs, as well as possession.
Johnston is the mother of 18-year-old Levi Johnston, who became the focus of media attention when Governor Sarah Palin announced her teenage daughter was pregnant and he was the father. Levi Johnston sat with the Palin family at the Republican National Convention in September when Sarah Palin accepted her party's nomination for vice president. Bristol Palin's baby boy is reportedly due Saturday.
The 42-year-old Sherry Johnston had apparently been the target of an investigation by Alaska State Troopers for some time, the "Daily News" reports. Troopers didn't release any information about the kinds of drugs involved, saying it might jeopardize an ongoing investigation. Sherry Johnston was freed on five-thousand dollars bond.
Would you believe I did not follow that issue. What is Mena Ark? I know it has something to do with drugs and a government conspiracy, right? I don’t follow that stuff....
Not only would it qualify her it would make her one of the least criminal legislators in the government!

While it’s maddening that the news media did not vet our Messiah-elect (gag), I do think there’s a slight point of covering Sarah’s immediate family since most Republicans want her for POTUS. (I’ll admit I’m disappointed Bristol was not supervised and chaparoned more closely. I think we should hold our Presidents to high standards and that includes their immediate family. JMHO)

Mena Arkansas is famous for it’s not so undercover drug running operation. The Clintons are alledged to have been a part of it taking money when Clinton was Gov of Arkansas.
George HW Bush was alledged to have been a part with Iran Contra.
I think he admits it thinking if he does all will be well. Of course, we don’t know to what extent. We are not even sure if Barak Obama, Barry Obama, or whatever his name is really exists.
Odd, how we can let a person take office who we really don’t know exists.
If they reported this kind of thing every time it happened to someone so distantly related to a possible candidate, the paper would print nothing else.
Hi, but Bristol is going to marry this guy. That means Sarah’s daughter’s mother-in-law is a low life. I still think it’s shameful to have that in a future President’s family. And, you’re right. Sarah may not make it back to the national stage if more of this junk comes out about her life. eew.

You know my dad made a good point yesterday. He said “I was watching them bust that big pot thing with all those pounds of marijuana and I’m thinking of all those man hours involved in investigating, and the lawyers to prosecute, and the price to keep those people in jail... and our states are going broke. But at least nobody will be smoking THAT pot!” (he said that last line sarcastically)
So remind me again what office Sherry Johnston is running for and why anyone outside of Wasilla should care about it?

Here is what may be the problem. You can supervise your daughter’s dating, but if she really likes a guy, and is determined to see him, what can you really do? If you forbid her to see him, she will probably sneak around behind your back and get together with him anyway.
My sister had this problem with her oldest daughter. Thankfully (for my niece) the boy got in trouble, locked up, and my niece realized he was no good before he got her in trouble.
I feel sorry for her son, living with a mom who is out of control.
Does anyone remember Billy Carter or Roger Clinton?
This woman is not immediate family to Sarah Palin. She’s an in-law.
