I don’t know Michelle’s routine but if it were me I would rotate chores every 6 months or so and make a girl/boy team. Nothing wrong with boys learning to wash clothes or girls mowing the yard.

I’d be concerned about girls’ mowing the lawn in long dresses. My whoe family can do dishes, clean, and take care of babies, but I suppose I’m going to have to make the Ultimate Sacrifice and let them use my washer at some point.

I would. I think my grown son just throws everything together.I get so mad when my granddaugher gets bleach stains on clothes I buy her. That isn't productive though so I just bring them here and we wash them, which is probably what he wanted to begin with. If I had a do over I would have made him do all the laundry when he was home.

...a world that is alteady over populated! You're begging the question. I reject your premise that the world is overpopulated.

My brother used to pay me to do his laundry. I guess he learned to do it eventually, or saved up until Mom came to visit.
I guess it can be my new years resolution ... but I’ll have nightmares!

It’s funny how “overpopulation” people never consider themselves excess, only others.

That was one funny post. I visualize the ‘look’ as Erin Walton meets Dita Von Teese...

I am the same.Only child with five children. Things were cleaner growing up. My children are like letting a bunch of puppies loose.

But not nearly as much fun, huh?
Alas! I only had 4. I wanted more, but it was not to be. I had them in the space of 5 years and 5 months, though (no twins), so sometimes it seemed like more than 4. :-)
Best job of my life!

One wonders if your parents ever got a refund for all of the money that was wasted on your education. Cute. You're very funny. And your one-liners are so original. You're also an assho!e.

A.A. is the Godfather of the FR Catholic Mafia. Thanks for the heads-up. My only point about the Duggar family is that not only are they celebrities but they also do quite well with the "freebie" end of this. I don't care if they have 18 or one hundred and eighteen children but let's not kid ourselves into thinking they're not getting financial compensation for it by way of corporate giveaways, etc.

Interesting comments about front loaders in Britain 99 per cent except really expensive ones are front loaders a top loader would be way beyond the average Brits means or to be honest wants.

Years wow us Brits reckon to replace every 2 - 3 years if you 2 or more kids. Having said that my Hotpoint is still going and that is about 1992.

My old Whirlpool set lasted 12 years and 5 moves. The washer entered its death throes when Anoreth left a screwdriver in her pants pocket and it locked the basket when it was trying to spin. Burned out the belts (not an expensive repair) but also damaged the seals so it leaked.
