I know he is a Christian but I can't say if he lives it in his public policy. I sure hope so!!!
He will be running to fill Kay Bailey Hutchison's spot.

Brilliant!

I heard there was a Senate seat for sale in Illinois.
I heard there was a Senate seat for sale in Illinois.
I was hoping to hear what Mark Levin said last night “sunset all programs of the federal government, and make them prove thier worth” , and the ones that don’t pass muster are done away with with great vigor and speed!
Couldn’t be any worse than Kay! He has done a good job on the Railroad Commission, which primarily oversees the Oil and Gas Industry in Texas.
This Texan thinks...so far, so good.
So, we are now in an eternal purgatory of constant election campaigning... 12 months a year, every year, on and on ad nauseum.
I think I might rather have to hear Britney Spears “music”.
And yet you were interested enough to read and post a comment... Hmmm
Good for Houstonites, Bad for Texas
“Mayor will seek U.S. Senate seat, lawyer says
Houston Mayor Bill White, a Democrat, appears to be on the verge of saying he will run for the U.S. Senate seat that Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison might quit to run for governor in 2010.
Houston lawyer Arthur Schechter, a former ambassador to the Bahamas and longtime Democratic counselor, said he spoke with White on Monday.
“He’s running for the Senate,” Schechter said. “He wants to be in the Senate. Texas needs that kind of representation.”
White remained mum in public Monday. His spokesman, Frank Michel, said the mayor might declare his intentions at the end of today’s meeting of the Houston City Council.”
Is he a Republican?
You got that right. She Mc-Caned us. This guy looks good on paper but he might want to lose the bow tie. :)
You bet your sweet... well, yes.
Commissioner Williams is as much of a conservative as any Texas republican, one of my favorites, and I hope he wins.
Maybe he is going for the Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams look.
Too bad I can’t vote for him! He sure beats what we have!
At this point in time, I am interested in 2 things for any candidate for national office:
1) Will he help to shut down the Dems’ plans to spend us completely into oblivion (as opposed to merely “mostly into oblivion” by Bush)? and
2) What’s his stance on guns.
Back up both with at least a long list of consistent statements, or preferably with some actual votes over time.
The first shows that he understands (or not) the limits of government power and the second shows that he understands (or not) the most basic of rights of each citizen (and the limits of government power.
