Fitzgerald renews interest in Rezko-Obama deal
Worldnet Daily ^ | 12/15/2008 | Jerome R. Corsi

Since arresting Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald has renewed interest in convicted fundraiser Tony Rezko's part in the purchase of Barack Obama's Chicago mansion, according to a former real estate analyst who says he was interviewed by the federal prosecutor in the past 10 days.

Kenneth J. Conner told WND he was interviewed by investigators from Fitzgerald's office regarding the purchase of the Obama mansion and the adjacent vacant lot that Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased simultaneously. As WND reported last week, Connor filed a civil complaint in October with the Illinois Circuit Court in Cook County alleging he was fired by Mutual Bank of Harvey, Ill., because he objected to land appraisals submitted on behalf of the Rezkos and the Obamas, with the complicity of the bank.

Connor previously confirmed to WND that he told the FBI, months ago, when he initially was fired, that the bank and the Rezkos were engaged in "fraud, bribes or kickbacks, use whatever term you want," to benefit the Obamas.

Connor said his lawyer, Glenn R. Gaffney, also has been interviewed by the FBI about the Rezko-Obama deal within the past 10 days.

Connor has disclosed that during the initial investigation he met with two FBI agents for approximately an hour and a half to discuss the Rezko-Obama home purchase.

"The entire deal amounted to a $125,000 payoff from Tony Rezko to Barack Obama," Conner previously told WND.

I think you are right. He was appointed as a Special Prosecutor to "investigate" a non-crime and knew immediately who committed the non-crime, but was told to keep the whole thing going for as long as possible, and by golly, that's just what he did. He "gets" who he is told to get, and not those he is told to leave along.

When he gets to the links in the State Health Services Board and begins to link Opossum, Blago and Michelle...

He’s only doing it to save Obambi. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t plan the Gov’s demise.

The Red Messiah is a really slippery guy, IMHO, in taking his payoffs. His MO seems to be to get the money up front and come up with the quid pro quo a little later, making everybody appear clean as the driven snow. It's a lot like what he and Michelle apparently did with her cushy $300,000 job, which she got from the UC Hospitals shortly after he became US Senator and UC Hospitals got a $1,000,000 earmark from him a bit after that.

Don't forget about Michelle getting her $300,000/yr. job with the UC Hospitals shortly after BO became US Senator and then, a little later, BO arranges a $1,000,000 earmark of taxpayers' money for UC Hospitals. Smells like a really slick bribery consipiracy to me.

That's inaccurate. She already had the U of Chicago job before BO even got into the U.S. Senate race. She was making about $100K/year then. After he became a U.S. Senator, she got a raise to about $300K/year. Sometime after that he steered earmarks worth millions to the U of Chicago Hospitals.

That is certainly part of it.

Recall that Blago was looking to get lucrative employment for his wife.

It’s there, it will take some digging...

MO, BO, and everyone they have contact with have dirty hands. Now he has the entire US to play his games with and Pelosi and Reid to help him. What has happened to this country? I put the blame almost entirely on the MSM. They acted like Communitsts.

Isn’t Corsi supposed to be a lunatic? Or does that shade with what he writes?

Though his having helped sink the SS Jean Carrie is almost good enough in itself to forgive whatever dimentia he may otherwise suffer.
