Sweet catch by Tapper, showing why he got that promotion.
Obama today
I had no contact with the governor or his office and so I was not aware of what was happening, Obama told reporters today in Chicago. Its a sad day for Illinois. Beyond that, I dont think its appropriate to comment.
versus Axelrod on November 23, as seen below.
Be sure to read Tappers post, as he has plenty more on The Ones long history as a friend of and advisor to Blago. Axelrod himself begged off Blagojevichs first gubernatorial campaign because I was concerned about whether he was ready for governing. Not so Obama and Emanuel; they both served as advisors, and they and Blago went on endorsing each other to the bitter end.
Watch the VIDEO
Update: Awesome. Lets just drag this out as long as possible. Either we get the spectacle of the Illinois legislature impeaching him or we get the spectacle of Blago appointing The Ones successor while in jail. And based on the charges, hes just stupid/nutty enough to do it.
He didnt do anything wrong, attorney Sheldon Sorosky told reporters after Blagojevich was arraigned. A lot of this is just politics. Blagojevich should be in the office Wednesday, Sorosky added.
So, reporters asked, he does not intend to resign? Not that I know of, no, said Sorosky, who added that the governor was surprised by the days events.
Common sense tells you that Obama would have SOME input with the Govenor about who was going to take his senate seat. Gov. Blogo: "I am appointing John Smith to fill President-elect Obama's senate seat. I didn't ask for any input from president-elect Obama, and he didn't offer any." Does that statement make any kind of sense?
The Obama apologists will claim that doesn't mean anything.
*O caught in a big pile of BS Ping!*
Corrupt Dems. More change.
David Axelrod: Obama Senior Advisor
Fox Chicago Sunday, November 23, 2008
Q: Has he expressed a preference, however, on who might replace him in the senate?
A: He has not. I mean uh, I know he has talked to the governor, and uh, you know, he’s, ah, there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and he’s, I think he has a fondness for a lot of them.
The man has zero credibility. The inauguration is still over a month away and he's already embroiled in controversies like this.
Axelrod is sweating over the next four years.
Typical of any criminal that gets caught.....deny, deny, deny.....even if they have you on tape.
How many “axels” does a bus need, because I think the bus is gonna have an extra...
I doubt the sheep will recognize that there is a huge difference between the public face of Obama and his dog and pony show and the reality of what went on behind the scenes on that replacement.
Obama will just throw Axelrod under the bus if this gets public play.
This was a direct response to the events of today.
To somehow tie it to the Axelrod video is something Democrats would do, hopefully not us.......so stop using the democrat playbook and posting statements out of context
What did Obama know, and when did he know it?
And we are to believe Axelrod & Obamah wasn't talking about the appointment?
Lying bastard!
I thought only a governor protecting her nephew's abuser was a scandal. < /sarc>

Not necessarily. Democrats always have varying versions of the truth.
How sweet would that be.
OOOO-bama's a crook and he gets paid
He rips the right and the left's gets played
(chorus)
O-bama's a crook and he gets paid
He rips the right and the left's gets played
A Rezko here, a Blago there
my friends have Chi-town ties
They'll all go to prison, I'll be riding high!!
(chorus)
O-bama's a crook and he gets paid
He rips the right and the left's gets played
I take some bribes, appoint the thugs, put the public on
Soon you'll wear a burkah, just like dear old mom... (chorus)
Pat Buchanan is saying right now that Obama and Axelrod are going to be called before a Grand Jury to answer questions about any conversations or contacts they had with Blag about the Senate seat. Popcorn, anyone.
The funny thing about this is that the Donks would just love to give Fitzpatrick the Ken Starr treatment, and brand him as a politically motivated hack who is wasting the public’s money on a private vendetta, etc. Unfortunately for them, they just spent the previous three years praising him to the skies whyile he was investigating the Bush White House over the Valerie Plame affair.
If we have to trade one Scooter Libby to innoculate Fitzpatrick while he goes after Rezko/Blagojevich/Obama, it is a small price to pay.
