A source said today that Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taken into federal custody at his North Side home this morning. The U.S. attorney's office would not confirm the information, and a spokesman for the governor did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

Really? I listen most morning from about 6 to 9 your time and I never heard her really say something like that. I know she is to the left of Don of course, but she seems to jump to the right enough that I can deal with her. Her father is a preacher and she’s from Texas, I wish more libs are like her honestly, we would have a lot less to deal with.

No, Obama has very, very carefully insulated himself. He benefited from the machine, particularly the South Side black fiefdoms that Daley permits sufficient autonomy to run their own affairs as long as they stay on the plantation and recognize who’s the Msssah. Obama didn’t need to play directly in the mud, he just steered a few state contracts to those who did play in the mud. The big honchos saw him as a useful tool, let him rise, once they became convinced that he wouldn’t be a threat to them.
He’s carefully played an arms-length strategy—ride the surf, don’t make waves but don’t go in for French-kissing the wardheelers’s butts either. Let Emil Jones and Tony Rezko do the dirty work.

Feds forced into action by Blago phone tap claim that he intended to take vacant Obama senate seat for himself.
