This birth certificate issue has been going on for some time now and for those hoping for some kind of dramatic outcome you are in for another big disappointment.
First, there is always the chance that there is a valid birth certificate proving Obama to be a US citizen.
Second, enough time has passed such that the Obama cult has manufactured and installed a phony certificate that will re-route us back up to option 1 above, he will have a valid certificate. Who do you think works in these kinds of government offices? They're all democrats.
Third, no court is going to force Obama to prove himself to be a citizen, the burden is on those making the accusation that he is not a citizen. A criminal doesn't have to prove he didn't commit a crime, the state has to prove that he did.

Flame on, and sorry for the Vanity, but this is driving me nutz, this issue gets my hopes up but then common sense dashes my hope on the rocks, and this now is a daily occurrence. You are going to find a valid certificate at the end of this road if you are lucky enough to get a judge to demand it, and that is very unlikely, whether the certificate be real or phony it won't matter, and will never be able to proven either way.
Ex Post Facto refers to criminal law, not simple legal definitions or standards. The Ex Post Facto ruling on Canal Zone citizenship is what gave McCain ‘natural born citizenship’ status re 8 U.S.C. §1403 which retroactively recognized canal zone citizenship. (the bill, passed in 1952 was made retroactive to Feb, 1904)

Does anyone still have the link to the Hawaii birth certificate from c. 1961 (not Barack’s) that shows what kind of information was included? I saw one several weeks ago on FR.

Well, I think that only prohibits criminalizing behavior that wasn’t criminal at the time, so I don’t think it would apply.
The fact that the MSM is now starting to cover this is very interesting. I thought this subject was not worthy before the election, there were other more important issues. Now that he's won let's see if it's a legitimate victory. Even if we lose this battle his administration will be tainted by scandal before it even begins.
It would be so easy for Obama to end this by just waving it at a press conference. The fact that he had many opportunities and hasn't makes me think there really is something rotten in Denmark.
I would agree with that. I would also say that they never envisioned a free press that would so loathe this nation that it would sell it’s own soul to make sure an unqualified man like this would be elected.

The more I step back and review all these issues, the more I see the risks ahead.
For me, its all down to SCOTUS on Friday. If SCOTUS punts and dismisses the cases, thats a huge sign that this was all for nothing.

Because 0bama’s father was legally married to someone other than 0bama’s mother previously and never divorced, 0bama’s mother was actually an unwed mother at the time of 0bama’s birth. Single American mother’s can give birth anywhere in the world at anytime and the child is a natural born citizen. Therefore, 0bama is a natural born citizen of the USA.
So, why is 0bama afraid to show his birth certificate? Darn good question. There must be something there mighty embarrassing.
Yes why indeed make all this fuss over nothing? Aren’t the people of the US entitled to know who this man is?
Obviously he is hiding something and if he isn’t then he sure is a wasteful SOB and in such troubling economic times... Imagine all the homeless that could have gotten a meal on the millions he paid lawyers to represent him regarding this simple issue.
OK so now common sense takes over and we see that he is hiding something. Something that proves he is a FRAUD.

By law in the State of New Jersey the SOS is required to certify that candidates for public office are "qualified", to do this she would need proof that he is a citizen. She did not do that regarding Obama, this is the essence of the Donofrio case.

They can be civil or criminal. I believe the response to such an `end run’ attempt would be to require Madame Lugosi to get her minions to amend the Constitution.
Have you even looked at one of the many images, of John McCain's birth certificate, floating around the web? It clearly states, on every single version I've ever seen, that he was born in Colon, Panama, which has never been in the Canal Zone.
Even if he had been born in the Canal Zone, there is no law that can be passed that supercedes the Constitution on the matter.
You would have us believe that John McCain suddenly became a natural born citizen at age 16. But, he either was at birth, or he was not, and is not. The Constitution forbids changing that after the fact.
