My concern is what do average American do to protect themselves from terror attacks since it seems that governments try to appease these murderers .....
I take it with a grain of salt. Lying to non-muslims to advance Islam, known as Al Taqiyya, is specifically permitted by Islamic teaching.
Memorize the details, as awful as they are. The next time some Leftist cretin complains about Americans having “tortured” terrorists at Gitmo, remind that person what real torture is (it doesn’t involve panties or waterboards), and who does it. Then tell him or her where to go, and how. Personally, I have no patience left for such people and will tolerate them no more.
You do need to take into consideration that the terrorists attacked Bombay’s ATF headquarters and killed the top officials early on in the attack. No doubt that had a significant impact on the coordination of the police response.
Has any Muslim group anywhere condemned this? I will be surprised if they have. Muslims claim to be a religion of peace and yet when a terrorist attack occurs they are silent- even mild condemnation is rarely heard. I remember after 9/11 some radio hosts and a few TV hosts tried to get Muslim leaders to condemn what happened- they usually got angry. Sometimes they would go off on how that was only a radical element- but I don’t remember a single one strongly condeming what happened on 9/11.
But we NEED to see pictures and hear descriptions of what was done to this Jewish couple & the others in the group, because they were singled out for special torture and death because they are Jews...
We have had endless descriptions and pictures of 'terrorists' bound & blindfolded (pictures elicit response, usually pity/horror) and told over & again how humiliating it was to have underwear on their heads, or their Koran flushed down the toilet, et ad nauseam.
The sheeple's little brain will forget about this tomorrow if NOTHING stays long enough, or is forceful enough to make them think or dwell on it!!
All due respect to the families, we need to know what they did to this couple!

Taking a shortcut through a mostly residential neighborhood, I drove past the Islamic Center of Nashville as services were letting out. I slowed to a crawl because the men were sauntering across the narrow street and gathered to visit in the roadway.The looks of contempt I received from this crowd made my blood run cold. They looked like they'd rather kill me (torture, first, naturally) than let me pass.
I believe our risk from domestic Muslims runs much deeper than the Establishment Media suggest with their "religion of peace" pronouncements.

They seem to have the attitude not of a group that was abused but by being in control as in “we will kill you” ... they caused those incidents not us but yet they act arrogant????? .....
I felt so sick when I found out that Israelis had been captured because I knew what would happen to them if not rescued immediately. They are martyrs. Their blood & pain must be avenged.
